No WOW moments for a while

Well according to everyone I have heard from there is nothing I can do to get the surgery paid for.  I even heard from obesity law in california and they told me that the information that I sent then got to them too late and they do not enter into litigation. So they could not help me.

I am going to try one more letter of appeal and see what happens. it can't hurt.

If that doesn't work then I will have to wait until they renegotiate a new contract after January.

Thank you every one that has been so supportive through this fight.

Sorry you have had so many problems:  my only suggestion is talk to the HR people
at your employer and see what you can do about them NOT putting the exclusion
on the next policy then offer.

Prehaps point out your current health problems that it will actually be beneficial
to pay for the surgury:  especially if you have diabetes or pulminary issues.

Darla:

Thanks for all of your support.  I am going to be in touch with HR about the exclusion issue.  I do have diabetes and other issues, as most already know.  I am going to appeal one more time and see what happens.

We will see what happens.

Hugs

I'm thinking maybe a letter to the owners of the company you work for may help-
Point out any time you may have missed  because of your issues.

I'm wondering if they can approve your surgery and get the insurance company
to pay for it?  Include any letters of necessity from your Dr's

Lori, I am so sorry you have been going through this I know you want this so badly. I will keep praying that you can get the surgery. Maybe if you scream loud enough they will wake up and smell the coffee. I commend you for your patience and perserverance...

Julie thanks for the support and I have talked with UHC and I still have one appeal left.  I asked here what I could do on my end to encourage them to overturn the decission and I have all of the information that I was told to send.  I also asked if a cost comparison would be a great idea.  I was told anything that will support my case is relavant.

So Monday I will be constructing another appeal packet and mailing it on Tuesday.
So Please keep all fingers crossed.
