Well I heard from California Department of Insurance this morning.  I am not entitled to a Independent medical review because the issue is contractual.  So I am searching for the "insurance*****" her name for herself not mine.  To see if she can assist me in fighting them with their own words.

If this falls through I am going to find out when our HR department begins searching for a quotes on premiums and insurance companies.

Not sure what else to do.  I don't really want to look for another job right now because of the economy.  I am placing applications and if one comes along ok but if not I am staying put.

Please Wish me luck

Lori -

I'm so sorry that you want this so badly and can't have it easily.  It's just so not fair.

I know money is tight for everyone, but I also know that Capital One has a line of credit you can use for medical expenses - maybe that's something to look into.

Keep on fighting, and in the meantime, keep us posted!

Hugs,

Tia

Lori,

I'm so sorry this is so damned difficult for you to get approval. I do have a thought though.... Is Zell able to add you to his medical insurance? I know that I cover Pete's medical insurance.

Just my random thought for the day.

~hugs~

Ren"

we have talked about it and actually my health care is better than his. go figure. They change carriers sometimes twice a year.

I am still researching some things, I haven't given up.  I refuse to lol.   Guess I need to change my name to the pitbull instead of abuddingrose.lol

It will work its self out.  Getting depressed, upset and beside myself only makes me ill.

I will keep all updated.

I have even been watching in the news where workmans compensation has been ordered in more than one state to pay for wls so that some needing other surgeries ie total knee replacements would have a better out come.

So we will see what happens.

Hugs

And adding to Tia's mention about the medical financing - I'd think it'd be tax deductible to pay for the surgery since it's "medically necessary".  Just a thought!

Lori,

I know you are one tough lady and you will not give up that easily.  I will definitely keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
Best of luck!
