Most of you probably don't know this about me but I am the Supervisor of a Cat & Kitten rescue based in Baltimore.  All our homes are fosters homes and stay with families until adoption.

We have many great kittens available for adoption.  If you are looking to add a new purrball to your family please consider me.  Or if you know anyone who might be looking please send them my info.

Today I am getting the most adorbale little orange male kitten.  I will post some pics on my page of my fosters.  He is my first foster since surgery obviously and my last kittens went to homes in mid August.  It will be nice to have a little ***** around here with a new baby!

He's the perfect little halloween baby.  No name yet but working on something creative.

I am including the link to my website.  Foster homes in Westminster, Columbia, Baltimore City and of course my house on the other side of town in Gburg.

Thanks for reading!

Best,
Nikki

Oh Nikki, that's so nice!  It'll also help you keep busy.  Just checked the website, really nice.  We have 2 furry babies adopted from Delmarva Cat Connection.  A sweet tiny (11 lbs) calico, named Lucy.  Also a loveable Maine Coon, named Major (19 lbs.), who honestly thinks he's a dog, and that our ****er spaniel is his mother!  He thinks he's still nursing and sucks on my shoulder, every night.  What ever would we do without them, I don't know!  You sound like you're really feeling better, glad!  Keep up the good work.

Thanks Ginger!  I have 7 rescued babies.  People think I am CRAZY!!!  I have 6 cats and an older puppy.

I also have a maine coon boy but he is still growing. IHe also has a nursing behavior where he buries himself in my hair and needs and suckles.  He is a big mess! hehe!  have the tiniest calico and tortie sister who are a year old and only 5lbs each...they are my forever kittens.  Every cat lover has a big orange Garfield and then I have two other girls a tabby and a long haired white Turkish Van.

I really should post an album in my photos of my "family" the furry one that is...

I also have a rescued female pitbull who is turning 1 next week.  People freak out when they hear I have a pitbull but she is my heart and such a beautiful dog.  She loves playing with the cats and sometimes she thinks she is one.  She plays with their toys :)

I am adopted by two adorable ones - although they won't get along very well.  SIGH.

One more cat fight, and I'm going to give up the Tortitab I've had for years.  She'd always been antisocial.

My newest baby is my pride and joy - and destiny had it that I'd have her.  There were 3 grey kittens that were being cared for by the Howard County Animal Shelter - that were siblings.  Anne, Jane and Henry.  Well, when I went to visit with them, Anne & Jane were already spoken for,  leaving Henry.  I really didn't want a male kitten, so I said good bye.  Then I  got an email saying that Henry was not who we thought it was.  They had sent off Henry to the Cat & Dog hospital to get the kitten fixed for a prospective adopting family, and found out that she had no balls to snip.  The family that was going to get her didn't want her because they wanted a male.

Long story short, Henry/Henrietta/Baby and now known as Li'l Boots is the highlight of my days.  She's really adorable and cuddly.

As for the Tortitab - whenever she's out in general population (we keep her locked up during the day because she will go after Li'l Boots to hurt her), she's automatically looking for Li'l Boots and sits as if she's getting ready to launch.

Last night, I noticed that Holly (the tortitab) was out and about, and so I put her back in the room she stays in, seconds later, I hear the door thumping, I open it thinking that Holly just hit the door wanting to get out which she never does.  I cut the light on, and Li'l Boots is in the corner under clothes.

I'm frustrated with their lack of a relationship.  Holly used to be tormented by our brown tabby, which we ended up giving back to the shelter.  I thought okay, the huge tabby is gone, (The tabby weighed 5 pounds more than Holly)   I'll get a smaller kitten and maybe Holly won't feel so threatened and may be more nurturing with a baby.

We've done everything the vets have told us to do.  It's going on 3 months since I've had Li'l Boots and nothing's changed with Holly being the terrorist.  She used to never be like this until we got the kitten.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Oh Candi, That is a beautiful cat. I am so allergic to cats. I did get to meet all 3 of Mo's kitties over the weekend they were so darn cute .I think she adopted them from the AA county animal control in Millersville. I love cats but their fur and me just don't get along. Good luck. I wish I could take that cat...
