Feeling Pretty Terrible

Well today was one of those days. Morning was ok but this afternoon not so much. Fever up and down again. Then walah, tonight I get diarrhea WTF! I having a hard time getting in the recommended liquids as it is and now more dehydration! If it goes through the night where I can't sleep or hasn't stop by the am I am calling the Dr.

I can't get a protein shake down AT ALL! The only thing that goes down easy is SF Italian Ice! Than the lord for Rita's!

Hoping tomorrow is better!

(((((Hugs)))))) Sorry you're having such a rough time. If the Italian ice works, then keep doing that, which counts as fluid. Have you tried sugar-free popsicles? They saved me the first few days. How high is your fever? I know they told me that if my fever was over 100.4 to call them right away. If you're in doubt at all definitely call your doc. I'm hoping it gets better for you. Just hang in there.

Oh...no...I hope you feel better soon...definitely call the doctor in the morning...That's what he got paid for and that is what he is there for...to help you...It never hurts to ask and be sure...I always try to double check on stuff...sometimes I think a question is not a good question...and it turns out to be an excellent question...you know what I am saying?

Sorry to hear this! You could have picked up a bug that is totally unrelated to the surgery. However, because of the surgery, you are at high risk for dehydration. So definitely, please call the doc.

yea you definitely don't want to get dehydrated. sorry you are going through this. I would just call the doc anyway because it will take forever for him to get back to you! i hope you feel better soon!

I'll echo what everyone has said - call the doctor!!!!!

And watch the Rita's - sugar alcohols cause diarrhea in a lot of people, so you might actually be doing yourself more harm than good.

Nikki, I am sorry you are having a rough time. I am sure this will pass and I know it is no fun. I agree you should call your doctor and he should call you back. I am sure he will. I agree with Tia my hubby is diabetic and when he eats SF ice cream or Rita's he gets the runs. Maybe this is part of the problem. I say better safe than sorry you don't want to get dehydrated and go back in the hosptial. Can you tolerate ice chips? If so I make my hubby sugar free Crystal Light slushies. I hope you feel better soon..
