I feel for you. what may be a good idea is to get something called phisoderm/phisohex they are ph balanced cleansers that were once used in hospitals. They balanced, mild and may keep the infection from recurring once they are cleared up.

Just a thought.

I had a really bad one last month.  In addition to the prescrption stuff, my doctor recommended the foollowing:

Pour a warm bath and add about a 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar.  I looked at him like he was crazy, but it really helped to releave the symptoms.

Also, applying PLAIN yogurt directly to the area cools and helps to regulate the bacteria down there.

Hope you feel better - I hate those things.

Heh - I know, right?  Actually, I won't even get into what he initially told me to do with it...yesh...::::shudder::::

The apple cider vinegar in the bath was great though...it was like "AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH"
