We've started using tomato paste for almost all dishes we make at home.

I am hungry too now!

there is a indian restaurant in towson, right off the circle, that serves this awesome samosa appetizer called samosa chat. it's got chick peas and this really nice sauce on it and yogurt. i love it. let me know if you ever wanna go to dinner there. i'm been fantasizing about it lately.

Today:

1. I happy that my scale keeps going down PRE-SURGERY!
2. That I am going to get my toes and eyebrows done tonight to be cute for surgery and not have yucky feet hehehe
3. That I got to see my babe last night before surgery - he has to travel the rest of the week for work and can't come stay with me until early next week.
4. That an old friend called me last night offering to also stay with me post- surgery!

Nikki, good luck! I am glad you'll have somebody staying with you. For the first couple days, I could barely get out of bed and back in, I was so tired. My dad and my husband were lots of help!

That is too funny. I went the day before I went in for surgery to get my toes and eyebrows done too!

Morning Sylvie,

Kudos for you for going tent camping.  I grew up doing it all the time but I've gotten spoiled in my old age and don't think I could do it unless I had a super-duper cushy air mattress, like one of those expensive airbeds.  I'd actually prefer to be in an RV at this point, I think.

Today, I'm grateful...

1.  For having the option to work from home when I need to.  Traffic was ridiculous and when I'd only gone 15 miles in 40 minutes with no end in siht, I turned around and came home to work.

2.  For my RNY, I've said it before and I'll say it again and again and again.  I finally took a chance and tried on my old favorite pair of jeans.  They were super tight pre-op and somewhere in my brain I was afraid that they'd still fit.  NOT!!  I can almost fit into one leg...WOOHOO!!!  What a great WOW moment and fear overcome.

3.  That I'm trying to gain a better perspective on who I am and what I want from life.  Its not easy and some decisions are harder than others, but I wouldn't have had the courage to do this a year ago.

Have a great day all!

Happy Wednesday everyone! I am now 1 week post-op and feeling pretty good. I haven't used pain meds in a 3 days and so far my pouch is tolerating everything well, though the thought of pureeing one more thing makes me want to . But, so far, so good!

Today I am thankful for:

1. Wonderful family and friends. Everyone has been so supportive.

2. Sugar-free popsicles.

3. My scale...as of my week 1 weigh in I have lost 15 lbs. I am sooo psyched!

Have a great day everyone!
