definitely more protein will help. and oddly enough you might want to up your calories as well. are you eating veggies? if not, start eating them as well. and remember, this is a life change, not just a weight loss change. if you are losing inches, then you are doing it right. (((hugs)))

Hi Ginger,

Been there, done that!  It happens...even though you are doing everything right, the scale just won't budge. Our bodies are changing so much that sometimes it takes some time to rearrange itself, hence the decrease in inches but not weight.  Hang in there!

One way to break a stall is to up your protein and/or your fluids.

Some thing else to consider, lets say you put on some muscle,, that weighs more than the fat you lose.  I am waiting for the ok to start back at the gym, that is when my weight loss will probably slow.

Ginger, I think everyone has already said what is mopst important. I just wanted to lend my support and encouragement. Please hang in there. Every day that you stay the course, you are achieving a major accomplishment. Our  rewards are not always recognized via the scale. You are doing great!

Hi Ginger,

I just wanted to let you know that you are definitely not alone.  One thing I learned in my journey was when the scale was not moving I was losing inches. I measured monthly and it was a wonderful feeling to know that doing the right thing because I was losing the inches.

Soon the scale will move again, remember your body also has to catch up with all the weight loss.

Stay focused and remember that you are doing a great job!

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

I was certainly blessed, the day I found OH, everyone here is so helpful and supportive.  I just wish other sections were closer to OC, so I could meet everyone!  Just know, if ever in OC, you definitely have a friend here!

I have an orthopedic appt. 9/21 and will weigh then.  Forget the stupid scale I have!!  Maybe I'll do what Ruby did, beat it with a baseball bat!
Thanks, again, to everyone, you're all so special!

Ginger - I'm 9 months out and I will tell you I have stalled for weeks at a time about 4 times already.

One of the biggest stalls was when the scale didn't want to tell me I finally reached onederland.  LOL

One of my biggest tattletalers is when I've stalled and suddenly I'm gaining - that tells me it's time for an adjustment if I don't lose that gain the next week.

I was on a great pace up until two weeks ago - then I stalled and then I went up two pounds.  I was hesitant to tell Dr. Singh that it happened, but honesty got the best of me and I told him.  I wasn't really hoping for another fill because I have Vegas coming up soon.  I haven't told him about Vegas.   Anyway, he gave me another .5 cc in my band.  And my daily ration of 3 wings for lunch has suddenly become too much food - I can only handle two wings at this time.  I'm sure it'll get better shortly.

Oh, and I only weigh once a week.  Keeps me from getting disappointed when I actually see the yo-yo it does on a daily basis.

You'll be doing just fine!  I know you will!

Candi, if I got another fill, I'd be full just looking at food!  I've never even gotten hungry, since the surgery!  Thought I'd never stop hic-cupping and sneezing, last night, after dinner!  NO notice that I'm full, just stomach saying, "if you eat another bite, you're in trouble!"

Ginger, that is the biggest thing for me that I'm totally enjoying the band - I'm hardly hungry.  Pre-op, I was always hungry that I thought I belonged in a pasture so I could graze all day.  LOL
