SOOOOOOO DISCOURAGED!!!!!!

I am SO DISCOURAGED!  For 4 weeks now, my scale hasn't moved at all.  I honestly think it's broken!  I've eaten exactly the way I'm supposed to, my clothes continue to get bigger, and me smaller!  I know it's not me, but I'm getting so discouraged!  Less than 900 calories a day, very few carbs., over 80 gm. protein/day. Ready to throw the damn thing over the 2nd fl. deck!

Don't be discouraged. Plateaus are common. As you say, your clothes continue to get bigger and your body smaller so don't let a mechanical device ruin your day. Stick to your diet plan and exercises and the scale will eventually give in and start moving again.

I'm having my surgery in Baltimore in November and will probably need you to repeat my advice back to me afterwards.   Hang in there!

I live in PA and had my surgery by Dr. Mo in Baltimore also.  Your surgery is right around the corner...the time will fly by.  Dr. Mo is wonderful...you will do great!

Good for you, Rich. November will be here, before you know it!  Mine was June, and even with problems I've had, I'd do it again, and again, if needed!

Ginger, please try to not be discouraged.

Maybe reading this will help:

It's not how fast you go, but that you're moving in the right direction!

Same here.  Mine moved though!  And, in fact, I gained 2 pounds.  How in the **** did I manage to do that?  Must have been that 2 mile walk I did on Saturday morning.  And the one mile walk I just finished up about an hour ago.

Thanks, everyone.  It's nice to know I'm not alone, through this!  I'm tempted to NOT weigh myself until I go to the Dr., again, in Nov.

So Sorry Ginger.  You sound like me. I am and always have been quite scale obsessed so when I don't see changes I get stressed.  Im hoping to get past that this time...

Hopefully when the scale moves next time, it moves more from the recent hold up!

Ugh.  I know - stinks!!!!

I've been going through this for about a month too.....  I'm using it as motivation to get back to the gym!!!!

I think that its just a plateau for me - and probably the same for you!

Yes, but I've been doing everything the way I should. Wonder if MORE protein would help? Does anyone know?
