Relieved

Just to let everyone know I went to the dr last night and the results of the MRI/MRA were normal for my age.  No damage done with the possible TIA's.  Blood pressure is still elevated (140/90) but doc decided to leave things alone because I am taking so much at this time.  I go back in 2 months for another check.

So I now have my packet together for the Health Education and Advocacy unit and as soon as I get their letter then they will have mine.  May see if I can hand deliver it.

So in the mean time I am trying to get to the gym every day or every other day. and I just signed up for a REACT class stands for Reach,Energy, Agility, Core Training.  I can use all of it and hopefully it will help me with being able to get my knee to bend better. so getting on and off the cycle won't be so hard.

take care all

Lori, Glad your tests came back OK. I just got my results too and all is OK. Thank God... Good luck on the gym thing I wish I had the courage to go. I hate how people stare at obese people like we have no feelings...

Julie :
ican empathize completely but I have gotten to the point that if I am paying like everyone else then I am just as entitled to be there and some day soon I will be one of the thin ones. lol

We are all there for the same reason to work out and get healthier.

those that think they are DIVAS can eat my shorts .lol

Hi Lori,

I am so glad that your results came back good. I am so happy for you.  I am sorry about your blood pressure.  Are you trying to stay away from sodium? That will help to bring it down some.  I hope everything continues to go well for you.  God luck with everything.

I will be sending positive thoughts your way!

Cira:

thanks for well wishes.  I only cook with a dear little bit of salt.  I never season my food on my plate. Never did even as a child.  I don't eat salty foods like chips, pretzles and such.  I am begining to wonder about pulmonary hypertension, I need to research it more.  I was on the phen-phen redux ****tail for weight loss the entire time it was on the market.  but I really don't think that is the case.

I have sent off the package to Health Education and Advocacy Unit here in Baltimore today so we will see what they can do.

Ciao and hugs from Essex

Hi Lori!!

Wow!!!  What a relief!!!!

I know you said you don't eat many salty snacks and you're watching adding salt, but be sure to watch the sodium on other foods like canned vegetables, soda, etc.  It seems like salt is in EVERYTHING!!!!

Continuing to keep everything crossed for you!

Hugs,

Tia
