Tia, I love fall and these things make it special for me...

My 28Th anniversary to my hubby in October.

My 16 year old son and his Birthday in October..

Camping and sitting around the campfire at night when it is crisp and cool outside.

Decorating for Halloween...

Carving pumpkins..

Apple harvest craft festival in PA.

Beautiful Moon's that light our sky.

Pumpkin funnel cakes.

Turning off the a/c and having the windows open..

Warm cups of DD coffee...

It won't surprise you that I love many of the same things as you, WT!

I love fall but it's just too short!!!  That being said, while it is here I try to enjoy it as much as possible.

I love to sleep with the windows opened.

Love the smell of wood fires.  We only have a gas fireplace.  Mike says every year that he's going to put in a fire pit.

Love how energetic the dogs are running around the yard.  If Jake would stay on our side of the fence though, it would be nicer.

Pumpkin pie and I used to LOVE Giant's pumpkin donuts.

Warm chili and stews taste better in the fall.

Warm drinks....I wish I could have coffee but tea will have to suffice thanks to my ulcer.

Ahhhhhhhh.....

Well....as it seems to be for most of you, fall is not my favorite time of year but I do find some good things about it.

fall cleaning yardsales on Saturdays

mums

leaves changing color (but not getting them up off the ground after they fall from the trees)

smell of our wood stove

turning on the oven more and cooking healthier meals

I have to say that I do find it is a sad time of year for me for some reason. I've had some painful things happen in my life in the fall so maybe that is where it stems from.

Love, love, love the changing colors. We didn't have that in CA.

Also love all the holidays - Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas!

DITTO DITTO DITTO to everything everyone already said!

AUTUMN has always been my favorite season!  Sentimental ol' me has even been known to cry at the sight of the leaves in all of their vibrant colors!

There is just a smell that autumn has.... that says warmth, family, snuggling, baking, and more family! :)

I love the coolness of the mornings!

The wind blowing the leaves everywhere and the beautiful colors of the leaves.

I love Sweater Sets or tieing a Sweater around my shoulders in case the air is too cool as the day goes on.

October 3rd  -- My Birthday.

Halloween!!!!! and Scarey movies around Hallowee!!!

I love Fall, is the best Season Ever!!

Thanks Tia, for allowing me to have those wonderful thoughts - i'm so looking forward to this Fall.

Tia :

What a great topic.  Personally I have just begun enjoying fall and winter seasons.  I used to hate to see June 21 come for the equinox because it meant that the days were getting shorter, the sun would not be as bright and I would have to fight depression all winter .  NOT any more.

I enjoy fall and winter ( even the cold) now and no longer count the days till spring.

What I makes me happy about fall
is having Zell to cuddle up with
my daughters up comming 11th wedding aniversary
the smell of the leaves, trick or treating, possibley going on a haunted hay ride.

enjoy all

oh and yea the cold bedroom. always loved that when I stayed with my grammy

ciao
