Well, 2 yrs. ago, I bought a new bike that has sat on the front deck, this entire time, never on the road!  Well, today is the day, just put on my tennis shoes, and I'm off to ride, for the first time, in 13 yrs. TERRIFIED of falling, but I'm going!  If you don't hear more from me, NOT A GOOD SIGN!  Wish me luck, as HERE I GO!

Good Luck I have not been on a bike in so long. My hubby started riding 5 months ago and the other day did a 47 mile ride. He claims he wants to do a 100 mile ride within a year. I wish I could be like him but am to embarassed to get on a bike. Maybe after I lose this weight I will feel better about riding again...GOOD LUCK... I always loved to ride on the boardwalk before sunrise...

Oh I hope you have fun!  I haven't been on a bike in at least 15 years but we've talked about buying some when my husband finds a job!  Great exercise!

I want to buy a bike but I am afraid I won't be able to ride it with my knee the way it is.
I still can't bend it backwards enough with out pain.  Doc says it because there is fluid in there and when I bend the knee the fluid gets pushed to the back, causing the pain.

enjoy your ride and take it slow.

Well, I survived!  I got on the seat, got 1 foot on a peddle, never quite had both on at the same time!  A neighbor told me to just go around the parking lot with my feet on the ground, pushing myself until I felt better about it.  don't I recall someone saying you NEVER forget how to ride a bike?  Oh yeah!  He didn't know me!  How can you be so scared you get light-headed??  I WILL DO THIS, just guess it isn't going to be anymore, today, will try again, tomorrow.  Oh, no you won't see me on Coastal Highway!!!

Leslie's somewhere down here, hope to hook up for lunch, sometime this week!

Ginger,

I bought a bike for my house in Bethany last year but really only ride in the neighborhood. It is a 3 wheel bike with a big basket on the back to put some groceries in. I am thinking about bringing it home for the Fall season and riding on the NCR trail.

Is yours the old fashion beach bike?

Congrats Ginger! I admire your attitude and determination. Riding a bike is something I would love to be able to do again but I have not made the time to make it happen. You go girl!!!!!
