After a battle with dehydration and stomach ulcers I am wondering will I ever be "normal" again??? Will I be on a liquid diet for the rest of my life???

Angela, you poor thing!!!  We were all so worried when your daughter posted about you - poor thing, she was sooo freaked out.

I'm sure you'll be normal before you know it.  You're in good hands with DVR, just do whatever he's told you to do and let us know if you need anything.

Thank you Tia. My daughter is that BEST daughter ever. I told her all about you guys and that you guys would help her out with any questions. Thank you for being there for me and my baby!!! I am doing evverything that I am told just wish I could get more then liquids in.

You will, honey.  Just remember that popsicles count as fluids, too, and sometimes, for whatever reason, they go down easier than other fluids.

Your body's again undergone a trauma of sorts, and needs to start healing again.  Give it time.

You will be normal again, I am very sure of that!  For some, the starting out can be complicated, but after a while - everyone starts to really be on the mend.   Please thank your daughter for keeping us posted!  And welcome home!  "There's no place like home, there's no place like home"  :)

Angela, We are glad you are home. We were all so worried about you when we got your daughters e-mail. I hope you will feel better soon. Just follow doctor's orders and I think before long you will be back to feeling like Angela again.. We are all here for you. Welcome back...

Welcome home! I know your daughter was certainly worried about her mom with you in the hospital!  You were in many of our prayers and thoughts.

Will you be normal again?... Nope... you'll be brand new and different.  Your surgery was a lifetime committment of change. Life will never be quite normal the way it once was, but each day will bring new journeys and improvements for a better quality of life.  Good luck on your journeys!
