Get the tissues FIRST!

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Yeah...that is a cryer.

I emailed it to their mom. I will leave it up to her if she wants to read it to them.

Thanks so much!

Gail so sorry that this happened. I am an animal lover and hate to see anything happen to Any ones pet. I agree that Tia's idea is great that is what we did for my Gdad when his cat passed away.. I also remember when we had to have our lab put down when he was 17 years old I talked to my son's guidance counselor and she gave me a book about when a pet dies. She also told me that the library has books too and it is good for the kids to read them or have the parents read them to the kids. She told me that we could also have a memorial service and make crosses or stepping stones to remember them by. I hope this helps. So sorry...

Gail,

I am so sad and sorry to hear your news.

Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!

Ohhhh Gail i am so very sorry that this happened to their doggy.  My heart goes out to them.

I know exactly how those girls feel.  I lost my doggy to a hit and run and it was like week before Christmas and it was the worse Christmas ever.  I loved that dog so much.... I cried everyday for months and I was an adult with 3 children.

Big hugs!

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.
