First blockage

YUCK!

Tiny bites and chew to oblivion before you swallow.  I've never been stuck per se, but I have been uncomfortable.  Invest in some papaya enzymes and next time it happens or even comes close to happening, chew a couple of those.  It helps break down the food to move it through.  Meat tenderizer does the same thing but I guarantee you that they papaya enzymes taste better!  I found papaya/pineapple enzymes at Trader Joe's and carry them in my purse now.

That happened to me last friday. I decided to have a blended pot pie. 2 spoons and I was done and it sat there for 2 hrs. Never again.

Don't worry, Tom, Candy works at JC Penney - she can get you a discount!!  And any style goes well with the hot bald look you're sporting!!!

Tom:
Sorry you got "stuck" but glad to hear all is ok.  Just makes me realize I do need to see one more professional before my surgery is done. when ever that turns out to be.  lol.. And who ever said that getting stuck is like a gall bladder attack, that was enough to make me make sure I chew , chew, chew, and puree, puree, puree.

Had one gall bladder attack before mine was removed 27 yrs ago and remember it still today.

OOOWWWWW NO FUN AT ALL

Debbie hope you feel better as well

Tom,

I thought you couldn't eat solid food until day 31??? Was just going over Dr. Aceves' eating plan last night.

Sorry to hear you were in pain - must have been scary!!

Hi Sheri -

Since Tom had RNY and you're having VSG, that might explain the difference.  As each surgeon's criteria is different, so is each type of surgery.
