OMG! I HOPE I CAN CUZ, I TRIED IT YESTERDAY AND I DIDN'T GET SICK.

BUT, I WAS JUST GOIN THRU MY BINDER AND IT SAID TOMATOE BASED PRODUCTS ARE TOO ACIDIC AND NOT TOO EAT UNTIL 2 MONTHS OUT.

I STILL NEED IDEAS ON WHAT TOO EAT CUZ I CAN'T STAND THE BLENDERIZED STUFF. IT MAKES ME NAUCIOUS.

ALSO, WHAT KIND OF TURKEY & GRAVY ARE THEY TALKING ABOUT IN THE BINDER. nOT DELI TURKEY RIGHT.

PLEASE GIVE ME SOME TROUBLE FREE RECIPES I CAN EAT AT ONE MONTH OUT THAT DOESN'T HAVE TO GO IN THE BLENDER.

WILL THE WENDYS CHILI MAKE ME SICK IF I CONTINUE TO EAT IT???????????

What phase are you in, V?  Are you still on pureed/mushies?

Tia, I'm in the pureed stage still.  But, i haven't been eating pureed foods. I've been stuck on jello, pudding, Protein Shakes, cream soups.

One more thing can i eat cream of crab soup at Phillips.

Okay, I KNOW the pureed stage sucks.  But that's what the binder says, so:

Oatmeal with protein powder mixed in - use lots of Splenda and cinnamon, too

Ricotta cheese - You can make it sweet by adding Splenda and cinnamon or cocoa - tastes like cannoli filling.  You can make it savory by adding Italian spices and putting spaghetti sauce on top.

Greek yogurt - Add s/f preserves and Splenda.

You can blenderize ANY soup - just try to look for the ones higher in protein, like bean soups.

They say that if you can puree it, you can eat it.  I ate a lot of pureed tuna, shrimp and chicken salad - add light mayo to moisten, along with the spices of your choice.  You can puree the chili, but yeah, you need to watch so it doesn't upset your tummy.

Refried beans (they make a fat-free variety) with melted cheese on top.

You can DO this, V!!!  You've come so far!!  And it won't last forever.  I promise!

Hugs,

Tia

I really have no clue but would suggest you call your doctor if concerned...

blenderize the chili before you eat it. don't think there is anything wrong w/ it. of course my doc never said anything about tomato stuff being off limits.

THANKS NICOLE - I KNOW THAT DIFF. DOCS SAY DIFF. THINGS!

I GUESS I'LL JUST WAIT UNTIL NEXT WEEK WHEN I GO FOR MY ONE MONTH CHECK UP TO SEE WHAT HE SAYS IN PERSON.

Chili was allowed for me on pureeds and I ate a ton of it!  I couldn't handle the consistency of it blenderized, so I just made sure to chew it to oblivion.  I also added plain greek yogurt as sour cream and melted cheese.

Check out http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/ for some other ideas for the pureed stage, it helped me out a lot!
