Dr. Vanguir
First, What is your BMI? Dr Vanguri refused to do DS on me as my BMI wasn't high enough.
When I started doing research for WLS I thought I wanted DS, Dr Vanguri is the only surgeon diong DS as a single step. Dr Schwietzer doea it as a two step process, he does the sleeve, if that doesn't get the desired results, then he does the DS. Not sure how my insurance would handle two surgeries. Anyway, I was talking to my Endo, he flat out said do not use Vanguri, and he would not continue my care If I used Dr Vanguri. He finally said he had seen too many post op problems from Dr Vanguri. I like Dr Vanguri and his staff, but that doesn't reflect his surgery wether it be good or bad. I decided to go back to Dr Averbach for a RNY, and am doing great, St Agnes hospital I have to say is top notch.
There is a patient of Dr Vanguri right now recovering from complications. I left St Agnes after 2 days, and am doing great. I hate, and would not have judged Dr Vanguri, untill the problems going on right now.

First off let me say hello to my girls that are so worried of me and trying not to mention names of the friend, thanks Candy tia cira aaron and so on i love u guys for being there for me.
Now as far as vanguri , yes he was and is my surgeon, i expected some problems for scar tissues but nothing as what happend a abcess on incesional line, well yes i did go through hell and have a long journey yet, but girls you guys were looking down on a patient who was so sick that her doc would not take a day off untill i had to make him, he was by my side working his ass off to help me yes it was a long time in and he fought the insurance company for me to remain in hospital which was what i needed . i honestly say i love this little doc , yes everyone makes mistakes and im not the only patient of a gastric bypasss that that has happened to and by all docs all of them so i know you mean well, but honestly i dont think i would of changed he has terrific beside manors and cares about his patients if you read his board you can see how many he has done .enough i digress yes you take you time on decideing which doc sweetie. as far as franklin square it needs a lot of work and no nursing care is great after being in hosp. for 30days, i agree with tia on that but most all my nurses were great the care techs and so on even down to house keeping they are remodeling putting in new wing and so on , the confusion i was getting was with the hook ups and so they were confused of what diet i was to be on nurses had to call them over and over i dont eat much now so it was a little fustrating but i got through it. again i love you guys
