A MESSAGE FROM HELEN

I saw Helen before yesterday's get together.  She looks good and said she feels better - she is hoping (cautiously) to come home this week.  I'll keep you posted.  In the interim, if anyone gets up there, she is DYING for a backscratcher!!!  LOL!!!

In all seriousness, she asked me to post this to all of you:

Good morning!

First and foremost, I want to thank all my OH friends for their concern.  It's very touching to see so many of you and having so many of your prayers.  Thank you.

I am now on the road to recovery.   Everything seems to be healing; it's still a long process getting there.  We all know of complications during wls, maybe God decided to use me to show all of you that it's not a piece of cake and there will be some of us that don't fair as well.

But God has heard your prayers and I'm coming out, so you better get the party going!

So far, my weight loss is 37 pounds, including the weight I lost pre-op.  I'll get more into all of that when I do get home.

Sorry this is so long, but I wanted to put into words my thanks to Tia, Candy, Cira, Tom, Aaron and all the rest of you who have definitely been there for me.

Thanks again!

Love,

Helen/Grammom

LOL, when you said she was dying for a backscratcher, I instantly read it wrong and thought she was looking for a backstabber   ROFLMAO!  Didn't we just get rid of one?  LOL

I'm so glad she's getting along fine.  I did have a book in the car for her yesterday- but forgot to give it to you Tia, so I guess that means I have to stop by after class tonight.  I'll call first before I stop through just to make sure.  I do not think they'll let me bring in my cats - they scratch very well - to the point of drawing blood every once in a while.....LOL

LOL Candy.

I am soooooo glad Helen is on the road to recovery!  I hope she can make the next meet up so I can hug her in person and hear more about this wicked sense of humor of hers!!

She said if they find hyperplasia again from sono or something worst from biopsy she wants me to have surgery.  I will try to be positive and be pateint. I wish I knew the answer today. Thanks for asking I just feel sore and have cramps.

Yeah, that's pretty much how I felt.  It's pretty typical for a procedure that pretty much cut you inside out!!!!  Fortunately, the sonogram is painless!

Take a few more Tylenol and drink some hot tea.  I don't know why, but hot tea ALWAYS makes ME feel better.

Hugs,

Tia
