Need to find a new place for Harford County and Beyond Meeting

The harford county library system has decided to charge 30 dollars per reservation. Unfortunately that is too high a price for me to use the library at this time.

sooo.... I need another venue where I can have a meeting, where people can have privacy, and where we are not eating! Does anyone have suggestions of how I can find such a place? Other than people's homes? if worse comes to worse, that is what i will have to do, though i won't be able to grow my membership up very much since i have a townhouse. any suggestions would be great!

That bites!!!  Are all libraries charging?  I was wondering about the library at White Mar****'s easy to get to, right off of 95, etc.  Might be worth looking into.

I've got a lot of friends who live up in Harford County, so I'll see what I can find for you.

Have no fear!  If we have to sit in someone's car in the Walmart parking lot, we'll do that!!

Why don't you use your status line on Facebook?  "Need meeting space in Harford County for up to 20 people, one day per month, from 6:30-8:00 p.m." 

Heck, it's gotta be better than some status lines I read!!  LOL!!!

I drive and Expedition we can all sit in it. 

I don't have any ideas at the moment, I'll work on it.  Maybe we can all pay a portion of the reservation fee.

I was thinking the same thing, Traci, about everyone chipping in, but given the economy and the way people's finances are right now, I wasn't sure.  Thanks for bringing that up!  I'd be willing to help if we can't find another place.....besides your Expedition of course!!!!  LOL!!!  Can I beep the horn???  LOL!!!

My husband has to go to work at 5 on Sunday and there is no way I would bring my 3 year old with me to sit that long.  It's not POSSIBLE, he is all BOY!

I really want to get together with everyone. Maybe next time.

One of these days I'm actually going to be free to make one of these meetings.  I know Upper Chesapeake Bariatric support groups have a meeting room at Harford Memorial in Havre de Grace...could you contact them to see if they have an open room one night a month?

Hi, I'm new but I live in Aberdeen, used to live in Abingdon and I'm due to have surgery sometime between Nov and January depending on my insurance??  I would also encourage the hospital, they meet the second Tuesday of each month at around 7 but you can check with Upper Chesapeake in Bel Air too. My other suggestion would be the Fire departments both Abingdon and Joppa have halls that they might let you use for free or cheap?? Just a thought or churches (try Trinity Lutheran in Joppa).
