OT big time but I have to vent.
Well,
This all dates back 5 years ago or so, when My neighbors grandson pushed a running lawnmower with a foot of me while I was working under my car, things got stupid, I had peace order against them, Her son threatened to burn my house down and kill my family.
It had been a quiet few years, then, the storms came through, couple of medium branches came down in the road. I dragged them to the curb hoping they would be taken by recycling, of course not, so I have a few choices,
fire up the saw cut'em up and bundle them so they would be taken, not supposed to lift 20lbs because of the surgery, so that is out.
Grab the axe and hack'em up, nope, same reason,
Drag them between the car and fence untill I can cut'em up, best choice.
THEN the super ***** next door starts her crap, "I'm calling the cops" yada yada yada. I tell her "fine call the cops"
El got home and I warned her the cops might show up, she goes out and cuts them up.
SO
Today I go out and here is a Trugreen truck, and a hose going through MY now open gate, guy is spraying in my yard along the fence line. "uh excuse me can I help you?" "just spraying weeds and grass" he responds, "uh what if I still had my German Shepards and they were out? the gate is wide open" "sorry" he says.
Now, I want the waist high grass between the fences gone, but a couple of years ago, a foot or so on my side of My fence was dead for two years because of spraying, I never "caught" anyone spraying,, but it was obvious.
I understand the poor guy has no-way of knowing the history of the neighborhood,, I don't really fault him, he said it was oked by super***** she said she had oked it with me, but come-on.
Trugreen said they would cover any damages, my ***** is not with them.
Thanks for the vent.

Sigh. Gotta love neighbors. I don't. Ours are the dregs of society - such is life in a rowhome community for us.
Anyway, short of starting another all out ******g match, I guess there's really nothing you can do. Keep an eye on your grass, if it's dead or whatever, let Truegreen know and let them reimburse you, if possible.
As far as the neighbors, I'd steer clear. Not worth your hassle. Not sure what the super*****neighbor hopes to gain by calling the cops - El didn't drag the branches over their car - and I can assure you that while the cops MAY come, there'd be a lot of eye rolling, and some advice to call if you have any further issues!
And most importantly, by DRAGGING said branches instead of carrying them, you're STILL putting strain on your body, incisions, etc. STOP THE MADNESS!!! You have just had major surgery. Not sure if that's clear, although I THINK I've said it to you here and on the phone. SIGH. Men. LMAO!
Hugs,
T

Back when this was all going on years ago, she did all she could trying to make my life difficult. I have had motion lights covering both side and the rear of my house. Been there for years. She started complaining to the HOA, We are active in our community, so we knew the president, She came by and saw no issues, told the neighbor so, so super***** starts getting on her as well. I told Alma, (the pres) to tell the neighbor that I told the HOA to " f off". I hoped, and it did take the pressure off of the HOA. Next came the visit from the BA co police. Did anyone know they have a " Light pollution specialist" well they do, he gave me the ok and a case # for any officer that showed up in the future ref to the lights.
Because of my hobby, I have to have a low explosive users permit. Not real difficult to get,,, about as hard as WLS just a lot of hoops to jump through, Federal finger prints, and photo, and surprise visits unnnouced by BATF agents, So I am "known" by local and federal officials.
Oh the joys, and to think, we took her to the hospital years ago, and sat with her all night untill her family came down.

Just goes to show that no good deed goes unpunished!
Well, they have "noise pollution specialists," so yeah, I believe it!
BTW, thanks for calling Helen last night! Did you hear me yelling in the background, "It's Tom!"? LOL She kept calling you Bob!! She called me again this a.m. to thank us all again!!

Glad I am not the only one other with sucky unreasonable neighbors...
A few years ago we got a dog... Had him in the backyard on his leash... MY BACKYARD!!!
Neighbors dog is tied out and wandering on his chain, comes over to sniff the puppy and I let my dog lick his... He comes screaming out of his garage to get my F***ing dog away from his dog.
I said "Then get your dog out of my yard" and walked in the house with my dog on his leash. Two hours later the humane society came to my door because I had an emaciated dog that I let run loose at all hours of the night and kept outside for days on end without food and water. Problem with the picture - the puppy had been in our possession less than 24 hours...
Three weeks laer my Dad bought us an outdoor kennel and automatic waterer for my birthday. It was installed on a Sunday afternoon. Tuesday morning, animal control is back at my door. I now have an outdoor kennel with 4 or more large dogs in it and they are not being cleaned up after, are living in filth and not being watered in July. Problem... I only have one dog and he HATED the kennel - he howled so bad we never used it. They checked - NO dog had spent more than an hour in it and it was clean... and the auto water dispenser was hooked up to the hose...
We had 3 more similar visits the first six months we had the dog and have heard no more, thankfully - I don't know if the ASPCA gave up on his complaints of he gave up making them.
I *KNOW* someone is killing my mailboxes - we have been through 8 in 5 years. We came home from work on Wednesday this week and someone had removed it from the post and the "box" was turned up and opened on my porch (as it poured down rain) I would bet he or his family had something to do with it...
But whatcha gonna do? I wish I had known before we bought the house... I just keep hoping they move!

Angie, I live on a very rural country road that has seen it's share of mailbox destruction. We, along with the next door neighbor, put up indestructible mailboxes. He had a steel one fabricated, but I got mine at Home Depot. It is "indestructible" heavy guage steel and the way it connects to the post it would be almost impossible for anyone to get it loose unless they stand there with tools and work on it for half an hour. While it is undamaged, it split the baseball bat of the wonderful teenager who was doing drive-by high speed whacks, as I found in splintered on the side of the road. Wonder if it broke the little imp's
elbow or shoulder??? Anyway, just mentioned it in case you want to check them out.
