He's a bad, bad, BAD diabetic!! Diabetes is SOOO pervasive - it just touches everything in your body!

I can't TELL you how many times we've had the, "You need to eat complex carbs/proteins to keep those sugars level!"

UGHHHHHHHHHH!

Out of whack blood sugars can cause something called gastroparesis - I have it and its no fun.  Very bad stomach pains and gastric distress.  It's a form of neuropathy in your stomach lining, and also causes food to digest at a different pace.

I spent the night in the ER myself and this is what they came up with.  It was a horrible night - I presented with what I thought was appendicitis.

I regularly have to take Gas Ex, but have found that when my sugars are controled, so is the tummy trouble.

Tia, keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

Thanks, Bernice!!  They did, indeed, talk about this.  And it makes sense.  However, to even think that I could get my 67 year old stubborn as a mule but loving father to control his diabetes is a laugh!

But thank you for the thoughts and prayers!

Hugs,

Tia

I never checked back in after leaving work yesterday and I really didn't read much because I was very busy.

I hope your dad is better today and I hope you got some much needed rest.
