Good morning everyone!!  Since Heather hasn't posted I figured I get this started. 

Saturday and Sunday was BBQ & a get to know a neighbor and a 6 year old birthday party.
I am happy to say that I did good. I stood away from the cake and ate pretty good.

Yesterday:

B-  3 oz Tuna fish salad wrapped in a greenleaf lettuce (tunafish had tomatoe, lettuce, celery, onions, mayo and a touch of mustard)

45 minutes laer a 20 oz coffee

L- BBQ chicken leg with 2 pieces of broccoli

S- 1 cup of watemelon

D- BBQ Chicken  thigh with 1/2 of a baked potatoe with some sour cream & sheds spread on it.

S- 6 cherries & 1 1/2 tbs of peanut butter

100 oz of fluids and all of my vitamins

Randy, my pouch, was not a happy camper yesterday!  It started with breakfast, lunch was fine, but it didn't like dinner, either.

B - Scrambled eggs
      Fruit salad

L - TB Meximelt

D - Liver & onions
      Corn on the cob

All my fluids, all my vits!

Sunday:

B: 1 scrambles egg w/ shredded cheese
S: 4 oz yogurt & 1 lt cheese stick
L: 3 oz turkey burger w/cheese - no bun
S: protein bar
D: 3 oz grilled chicken, 1/8 c carrots
S:  1 c SF chocolate milk

All my water & vits.

Wow, Cira & Tia, i can't even come close to the good food that you guys are eating.

Uh, lets see:

sunday:
B- Cream of Wheat w/sub. sweetner no milk very thin
WATER
L- Pea Soup
PROTEIN WATER
D- Dannon Lite & Fit Blueberry Yogurt
S - SF Jello
Oh, and of course, all my vits and fluids

Hi Venita, 

You are only 2 weeks out.  Trust me 2it was the same for us in the very beginning.  You are doing really good.  But I do suggest you use milk for the cream of wheat you get more protein and  vitamin D

How many fluids did you get in?  Just curious....

Cira, that's a good question!
I do not measure my liquids, but i try to just be sipping on a pretty reg basis.

However, i don't think i'm up to sixty four or seventy six nor 100 oz. 

i go back to work next week, what is going to be the best way for me to start keeping a tab on my fluids!  I guess i've been taking them for granted - not proud of that and not a good thing.

also, i was afraid of the milk for lactose purposes - but i havent' tried any with anything yet either.

I gotta get on the ball here!

Yes what Tia said!!!   Everytime I went for a follow up I had to fill out a paper of the fluids, and foods that I had.  It is good to measure your fluids and foods.

What Cira said!!

However, can I just say that you COULD be getting more protein in by using Greek yogurt (shush, Cira, I KNOW you don't like it!).  Protein helps your body heal faster and you'll stay full longer.

As far as measuring what you're drinking, when you back to DVR for a follow-up, they'll want to know how much you're getting in.  It's important - both protein and fluids.  For the first 6 weeks or so, I kept a journal of everything I ate and drank.  If I had bottle of water, I'd mark it in my journal when it was empty as 20 oz. of water with Crystal Light.  And popsicles, too, they count as fluids.

It'll get easier, I swear it will!

L - 1/2 turkey burger w/cheese, onions, mushrooms, and no bun

S - protein bar

D - chicken pot pie

S - 1/2 c. NSA ice cream

76 oz. fluids, 80g protein, all my vits!
