I'M BAAAACK!!!
I met a really nice guy, Joe(y) online and we've been furiously texting, talking and emailing. So this a.m., he called and asked me to lunch. Of course, I'm freaking out, thinking, "OMG!!! I'm not wearing a date outfit!!!" LOL!!!
He picked me up at work (yes, I gave people his info), and we went out for Thai food - yummy hot & sour soup and shrimp with basil. It came with rice, too, but I didn't bother with that.
He's cute - dark, Italian looking almost, but he's Polish, and he LOVES to eat. He kind of questioned me about the no rice, so I bit the bullet and told him about wls, and all of my "losers." He admitted he would like to lose about 75 pounds, but I didn't get on my soapbox or anything. I figure if anyone is interested, they'll ask - it's not for me to push my religious wls beliefs on someone.
During the meal, I got a text from Candy, and a text from a friend at work and my Captain. I only TOLD my friend at work, I didn't tell my Captain, but when I didn't come back quickly enough, they were getting worried. SIGH. I am convinced that the dogs and helicopters would've been next!!!!! LOL!!!! It's all good - what's not to love about being loved and worried about? Thank you for caring about me and my well being. Oh, and I did pass along his info to some friends, just in case I ended up in a car trunk!!!! LOL!!!
So, there you go. And yes, we ARE going to go out again!!! He told me to call him after I leave the hospital from seeing Helen tonight.
Cautiously woo-hooing!
Tia

Comparison is the thief of joy!
If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished. Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago. I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits! Wherever you are in your journey ... It's ALL good!!!
I am trying (yeah .. I know very trying .. )
hugs, Mo
