3 THINGS FOR WEDNESDAY!
Today, I'm grateful for:
1. The a/c in my car is fixed, as is the "check engine light," and for a LOT less than I'd originally feared. WHEW!!! Here's to it not happening again.
2. For the understanding of folks here on the board regarding the cancellation of the potluck. Angie (who knows me too well), was right when she said that I was probably stressing over having disappointed everyone - and she was right. But I know now it was the right thing to do. I'll be calling Al's Seafood Restaurant today to see about prices of crabs, etc. for that same day, so keep an eye out for a post.
3. Hopefully, Tom will be home today. I'm also going to try to get up to see Helen - that poor woman. We whine about so much stuff on here, when in actuality, she has a bigger reason than most to whine.
Hope everyone has a great day!
Tia
1. Yesterday is over although the things that happened wont be over with for a while, at least today is fresh and I can make it good or bad. I choose to make it good so this is the last I will speak of my problems.
2. My daughter, God bless her soul, is trying out for cheerleading this weekend. I am so proud of her because she is overweight and Im sure there is a slim chance of her making the team but dang it she's going for it and I never would have had that kind of courage at her age. Believe me it's very hard for me to bite my tongue and not say things like that but I do because I see how happy it makes her. Dang it why does body image always have to make things hard. That child could light up a room with her smile and i bet she could cheer a whole team to victory all on her own.
3. Im thankful that Marty and I both have jobs. It could always be a lot worse.
Ok enough for today. I must get to work now.
Morning Mellie!
I'm glad you DID post - sometimes, it IS awfully hard to find things, so I'm happy that you did.
Good luck to your daughter!! She's a brave soul, because as an obese teen, there's NO WAY IN HELL I would ever have the courage to try out!! She probably won't realize it now, but whether she makes the squad or not - she's a winner!! Sounds like you've got a great girl on your hands!
Here's to things getting better for you!!
Hugs,
T
So glad that you did post. Wishing you all the best.
Your daughter is a courageous girl!!! I Love to have her on my corner anytime.
Hugs,
I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

Morning all (for a few more minutes). Busy day here, the morning got started off with a meeting and I've been busy ever since. I'm posting while taking a break from a report that I'm writing.
PHEW!!! Glad it got fixed and that the bill wasn't as painful as you thought it would be!
Today, I'm grateful...
1. For having someone at home who can feed and potty the dogs when I'm running late!!!
2. That the A/C seems to have recovered from it's filthy filter!
3. For my friends here on OH. Love you all and wish you all the very best...always!!!
