Nic....we MIGHT be interested in adopting a female kitty.  My stepdaughter wants one.  She gets home from VA today and I'll talk to her about it.  Can you PM me the details?

((( Tia )))

I just have time for a quick check in ..  The weekend went by FAR too fast and was mixed with work.

I got away from Annapolis about 5:45 on Friday night to head for Rock Hall.   The good news was that once I got into the 3rd lane on 50, I just CRUISED .. lifted to go thru the EZpass toll, but other than that no traffic issues.   I was to the campground in Rock Hall by shortly after 7 p.m.   Mr Mo had met the other two couples we were to be with, so he was completely adjusted when I got there.   The kitties took to the RV like they were made for it.   They just laid around and charmed people and were cute!  I posted a pic on FB of the 3 of them looking out a window in the RV.

I ended up having to work remotely for a couple of hours on Saturday to get some stuff with the upgrade straight, but then we went off to scope out RH and the Pirate Fest.   Later in the day we all went to Tolchester Beach and hung out by the Beach shanty bar .. go figure.   Rather than have dinner out, we elected to go back to the campground and pool our resources and make a meal.   Was much yummier and less expensive than eating out any time.

I was awake and on my way back to Annapolis by 6:45 a.m yesterday.   I made it to the office shortly after 8 so I was here for all the testing and to trouble shoot if someone had a problem.   Got home about noon-ish and just vegged the rest of the day with Mr Mo and the kitties.

3 things ???

1) the upgrade was successful .. even though it was touch and go for a bit on Saturday.

2) a fun weekend with friends .. can't wait to go out with them again ... camping is more fun with a group I think ..

3) my furry babies .. they are still bundles of love .. they don't seem to miss the claws a bit .. and I sure don't !!!

Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!

Morning everyone. Tia glad to see you back and hope you are feeling better, although by the sounds of it you are going to have a busy week. I hear ya on the car repairs, we only have 1 vehicle now and it's sputtering at us a lot so we have to take it in for repairs. Ok here are mine for today.

1.  Not stealing from Tia, but for my mom. Ive said it before she is a complete sweetheart and I love her to pieces. If my brothers and sisters knew how she does for me they would be so pea green. Anyway, she called me over yesterday and gave the kids their birthday money and included a bit extra for me to get their school supplies and some clothes. She knows we are getting weighed down financially and that the truck is acting up so she wanted to help me out. And she gave me a bag full of veggies from Daddy's garden which I will eat up this week.

2.  For my dad. He wasnt always the perfect dad growing up but he was always good to me and always provided. He doesnt know how to show affection but he would give me his right arm if I needed it. This week I needed his spare vehicle and he threw the keys at me and said keep it as long as you like. Then he said "it has no AC so im not gonna use it now."

3.  School is starting in 2 more weeks. Halleluia, praise the Lord, oh happy day. No seriously. I love my kids to pieces but they are wearing me down this summer. Its been a very trying summer and my patience is getting to the end. They need some order in their life.

4.  For Marty's job interview this week. He has an interview on Thursday in Easton and we are so praying this is the job God will bless him with. They moved him back to dayshift at MTA which Im happy and sad about. I really hope and pray he gets this job.

5.  For the cable men on Friday night. They finally showed at around 8:30 pm and bless their hearts they stayed until they got me hooked up at 11:33. I know they were exhausted. They looked it. And they even provided entertainment for us while we waited. Of course they didn't think it was so entertaining when they were running from the snake in the crawlspace.

So the cable men FINALLY showed, huh?  Thank God!!

Crossing my fingers for Marty!  Definitely NOT a good time to be job hunting.

Family - at least for me - is what it's all about.  I would be so lost without mine.

And I hear you on school starting!  Amen!  Although I think we're gonna have to send B to XBox360 Rehab!!!  LOL!!!

Snake?  Don't tell Boxer!!  I happen to prefer them over mice, though - they eat mice!!!

Keep us posted on Marty's interview!  How's his wl going?

Hugs,

T

Yeah snake!!  Well it is the Eastern Shore and I like living here so I wont complain about them I guess. Marty hasnt gotten to the point where he wont kill them for me anymore, he just relocates them now. I swear to him that they will find me again but he wont listen. You know a couple of years ago we didnt see one mouse through winter and usually we have a fair amount. Turned out we had a snake in our attic. He did get the axe because he was longer than Marty is tall.

He probably wont hear anything for about 3 weeks. You know how the state is about hiring. Paperwork takes forever. The scale is his friend these days. After his last fill he finally started moving downward and has lost about another 10 pounds so far. Now he's hovering for the past week since he learned how to eat wtih the fill. He goes back again the end of September.
