Thank you Sylvie - I just get so scared when i hear words like dehydrated/blood clots/ hospital.

You know, besides my issues of trying to do things exactly as they are prescribed to me.

Thanks for all of your encouraging words.

Take a deep breath!  WOOOOOW.  It is a LOT!  I think we all go through this, or at least I know I did.  Worrying that you aren't getting this or that.  You are doing great for 10 days out.  We are all a little different and I found that I could get down warm things better than cold things, so I did broth and a few creamed soups.  I also did SF popsicles, and they were a meal at one time.  They also count toward your daily fluid intake so you may want to try.  I would say that you should probably try to get some protein powder.  I just did the body fortress at Walmart and it worked well for me.  I did a shake in the morning for breakfast and then you can add it to your soup during the day.  Most of all, try not to stress.  Before you know it you will be eating more and then you will be wishing that you were at the beginning stages when you couldn't eat so much. (LOL)  You are doing great!

hopefully you can find ways to get the protein in. that is extremely important. instead of pushing the crystal light, you need to be drinking those shakes. eventually you will be able to eat real food and all that but for now, push those shakes. VERY IMPORTANT TO GET PROTEIN IN.

don't forget you can add unflavored proten powder to your soups!  Just don't heat it too hot or it will glop up.

Venita ~ I second what many have said.  Get some unflavored protein powder and add it to soups or broths.  The protein bullets or the Isopure can get you much protein. The Liquacel that Sylvie mentioned by Sylvie is a great idea.  I know her Dr. sells it but not sure where else it can be purchased.  I lived on the Isopure drinks for many months that can be purchased at either GNC or Vitamin Shoppe.  Another idea with the EAS shakes, if they are the pre mixed ones, they can be stored out of the fridge so that you can drink them a room temp.  It is very important that you get more protein!

Good Luck to you!

Hi Venita,

You are doing great for just 10 days out. I went through the same thing as you I could not drink any cold or it would hurt me.  I learned to take a cold drink of water and hold it in my mouth until it warmed up a bit and only swallow a little bit at a time.  I looked like a chipmunk holding the liquid in mouth. lol  That really helped a lot.  Also I like to recommend the bullet protein like the others said I diluted mine with water and sipped on it all day long.  You can only absorb 30 grams of protein at a time.  This early out what you need to focus is getting your vitamins in and your fluids ofcourse your protein but in clear form without having to upset your tummy.

I did have popsicles and they didn't hurt my tummy because I sucked on the posicle and it went down slowly.  So give it a try it will be your best friend for the next couple of months!  It helped me a lot when I felt nauseous too.

Take care and continue to great! Congrats on the 10 pounds that is fantastic!

You big loser you!   Hugs,

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.
