3 THINGS FOR TUESDAY!

Good morning!!  I know I'm wishing my life away, but I'm so looking forward to the fall - the cool, crisp air, the colors, the smells, etc.  Today's a short day for me, I'm leaving at 1, so I'd better get to it!

Today, I'm grateful for:

1.  The dentist - Yes, crazy, I know, but this tooth that's ALMOST out is making me nuts.  It doesn't hurt, but it niggles at me, and even though I had some problems with the last tooth that was pulled, I just want it OUT!  I love my dentist - as much as one can love a dentist, I suppose, and trust him, so cross your fingers that I don't develop a dry socket like last time!  OMG!  The pain was horrible and I wanted to beat my head against the wall to just deflect the pain.

2.  For new post-ops and our post-ops to be!  I've spoken with Tom several times over the last week - in a sea of stupid men, he floats in the USS Intelligence!!  I enjoy our conversations, and HOPE he's getting some info from me that he can actually use!!!  I'm anxiously awaiting hearing from Helen and hope both she and Venita are on the road to recovery!

3.  For Xanax.  NOT for me, but for a friend who DESPERATELY needed one last night!!  Sometimes, you just HAVE to, you know?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hugs,

Tia

I KNOW!!!!

Does Moosh growl when you move him from his comfortable spot?  Happy just kind of rolls with the punches, but one of our other puppies, Oreo, used to growl if you jostled her!!  They know who's boss!!!

I hope the therapist can help you - I know I'd be lost without Ranesa sometimes!!!

Have you given any thought to the next support group meeting?

Hang in there, honey!

Good Morning all

Dentist   ugghh   I hate that word!

Today I am grateful for

1.  Once again stealing one of yours LOL  xanax -- OMG I was so stressed out

last night and it did the trick within an hour!  Now if it could just solve the stress issue

I'd really be happy!

2.  For Tia:  who truly pulled me away from the ledge last night.

3.  For a job where I can take a day off when I need to to deal with parent issues;
looks like its going to become more frequent

Look for a later post today about a new pilates move :  I need to post it for Deb
since she missed it last night.

((( DP )))

I felt pretty helpless last night - I'm glad my yanking you back helped somewhat.  Unfortunately, there's likely to be more of that until you get control of the things that are controlling YOU.  And that includes the people, too.  It's hard, I know, but YOU are important, too, and they need to realize that.

And you KNOW what I think about the Pilates.  If it's freaking you out as much as you say, it's time to step back a little.  When something meant to be good for your mind and body isn't, that says a lot.

Methinks it's time for a phone call to our beloved Ranesa!!!

Sadly, I don't even mind the dentist anymore - guess I'm used to it, and I've got two great ones, so............!

T

Oh Darla - I am so sorry you had a rough day yesterday. Please take care of you!

I am curious about the new Pilates move and not necessarily disappointed that I missed it - LOL!

Xanax is a lifesaver when you really need it...although I find post-op I only need a half of one.  Glad it helped you out!!

((( Tia )))

I just posted on Darla's happy surgiversary thread .. but in case you missed it .. HAPPY Belated Surgiversary!   It has been a pleasure to call you friend for 3 of those 4 years and I hope many more to come!

today ...

1)  That the kitties were semi-alert and wanting 'mommy' last night when I stopped by the vet's to see them on my way home.   I'll pick them up tonight after work.   They will be back to being restricted to the kitchen for a few days until their wittle paws heal up.   This weekend in the RV should be a 'trip' .. (pun not exactly intended . but there .. )

2) Having the respect of my co-workers and a job I enjoy and excel at

3) The upcoming weekend and the chance to get away.   We are going to Rock Hall with the RV (and some friends) for Pirate Fest.   I have to come back early on Sunday a.m. to be in the office by 9 a.m. (we are doing yet another software upgrade . and have to test before we go live), but I'll have Friday night and Saturday.

Got to run .. have a wonderful day.

Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!
