Belly Dancing Classes...

Well my BFF, daughter and I are looking into taking belly dancing classes.  

We hear they are fun and also good exercise for those tummies...

so I found a place that has drop in classes or you can pay $50 for  a six week session.

I'm thinking about it.

anyone ever done belly dancing?

anyone interested in joining us?

It will probably be after my surgery that I'll start.

it's down on Charles street.  Wednesday nights (we could probably have a regular dinner then dancing night just the girls)

i  might just try with the BFF at first so we would go right from work proably and since we all work for SSA it would be easy enough to leave the cars and go together!

Sylvie, how in the heck are YOU gonna do belly dancing classes - you have no belly anymore!  You got that 12 pack ab thing going!  LOL

Nessa, it sounds like a great time! unfortunately, I am not there just yet! If my belly started shaking, they would feel the aftermath in the Caribbean. I need to work on this belly a little longer and a lot harder! Hopefully sooner than later, Good Luck, and have a great time dancing away! In what area did you find these classes being offered? actually you need to have some serious jiggle for Belly Dancing...

also you can wear sweats. no belly shirts needed.

Sounds like fun! I am truly uncoordinated and wish I could do any type of dancing. One of these days I will try something dance related. For now, I am going to stick with the gym. But I will be interested in hearing how this goes. Enjoy!

My understanding is that it does not really require coordination.  I hope not. I'm a klutz.  I'll let you know.
