Congratulations Venita! Glad you are home safely. I remember when I first came home, I was so focused on trying to remember everything I had to do. I kept referring back to "The Book" with all of the guidelines and I kept a daily chart of everything I took in to make sure I did not miss anything. The good news is that this all becomes automatic over time. What feels like so much to remember now, comes more easily. So take it one day at a time and you will be surprised at how well things will go. Enjoy!

Venita!  Welcome home and welcome to the Loser's Bench.  As Tia said, the first six weeks are the worst and then it's all down hill from there.  I did the same as Debbie and kept track of everything in writing, along with a chart and schedule for pills and vits.  At first it does seem like a full time job trying to take everything, eat everything and drink everything that you are supposed to but it does get better!

It took me at least a day to get the bed in the hospital into position that was most comfortable.  Plus I had a ton of pillows and arranged them around myself like a life ring and I found it much more easy to sleep all contoured up.  It was harder at home but there really isn't anything better than the comfort of home!!

Welcome to the Loser's Bench Venita aka Carol!!  LOL  I am so glad that you are home doing great.  I am sorry I didn't offer sooner.

Just know that we are all here for you anytime.

Take one day at a time when it seems a bit overwhelming.  Just remember that one day you will wake up and say I am so glad that I had this surgery.   (that will happen maybe 4 to 6 weeks post op) lol

Have a great weekend!

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

CONGRATULATIONS Carol!!!  Each day will be better than the one before and always remember, 1 at a time!  Your new life is just beginning!  Having had my surgery 6 weeks ago (lapband), I now feel like I had nothing done, eventhough I felt like I was dying, the first day!  Keep us all posted on your progress.
