3 THINGS FOR FRIDAY EVE!!
Darla, Sorry about the TV and so sorry you are having a tough week. I do hope your cloud lifts soon.
I have a few things to be thankful for...
1) Friends and this board it is really keeping me sane and from hurting someone at that hospital.
2) Thankful that summer school is almost over and my son has done well.
3) The purchase of 2 laptops at Wally World and my puter guy saying I got a good deal...
4) Mom being a fighter. Now they tell us she had a concussion too. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. Please keep em coming...
HAVE A GREAT DAY AND STAY COOL...
Julie
OMG! Julie!!!! I'd tell you to go ahead and have some chocolate, but you know it'll make you feel good and then bad, so it's really not worth it. One thing to keep in mind to help you stay focused and have SOME energy is to drink enough fluids, because when you get dehydrated, you can become really tired, and to try to eat foods high in protein. If you HAVE carbs, try to balance them with a protein - i.e., banana with peanut butter. Of course, this is just my unprofessional opinion!
Also, remember that hospitals have patient advocates. Don't hesitate to call the hospital operator and ask to be connected to one. That's what that office is there for.
I'm glad your son is doing well - at least that's one stress you don't have to worry about.
Hang in there!!!
Hugs,
Tia
Well, I am home again today. Although if anything gets resolved by mid-day, I could go in later. In the meantime, I have vowed to keep myself busy today. I did mostly desk work yesterday. But I can think about food more easily at a desk!
My place is in need of painting. I have been thinking about this for a long time. I can easily suggest colors to others. But when it comes to my own place, i can be indecisive. I am getting close to biting the bullet and just starting with a few rooms. Once I start, I think I will feel so much better. The kitchen may be first.
Glad to hear about all the positive hair stories out there! Perms can be tricky things. I have not had good success with them in the past. So, I am glad they are working out for you.
I also got lazy yesterday and never made it to the gym - sigh! Congrats Darla on getting back on the circuit! I am proud of you!
Congrats also to all of those who are successfully fighting temptation - it is quite hard and a major accomplishment to resist!
Today, I am grateful that......
1 - I found a print I had been looking for in a box. I bought this many years ago (decades) during a vacation in Maine. I bought a frame for it about 6 months ago and then could not find the print. They have been united. Now, all I have to do is decide exactly where I want to hang it!
2 - For a quick call with my Indiana family last night. They are a never ending source of encouragement and love. I miss them a lot since I have not been able to visit in a while. They give me strength.
3 - For my WLS - Although I have frequent struggles, life is still so much better than before. I vow to never return from whence I came.
Have a super day!
Debbie
about the Roller Coaster : and of course that got me to thinking about the Martina Mcbride
song LOL : I truly feel this week has been a roller coaster - except it seems like its been all
up hill : I keep waiting for the down to come.
See you tonight at the MAC : Pool classes - 2 step turn , rocking horses await us!
Morning Debbie!
Being a creature of habit myself, I feel your frustration with the work situation.
And I also heartily agree that I think about food a lot more while I'm chained to my desk!
I LOVE a freshly painted room!!!! Just remember, although it's a pain, you can always repaint if the colors you pick don't work.
Have a great day!!! To kill some time, you could always run to Home Depot and get paint chip cards!!! Have fun!
Hugs,
Tia
Tia, Thanks if I started on the chocolate you all would find me held hostage in RHEB"S. I can just taste it now. I have been trying to leave the CARB monster alone and that is so hard. I have been doing salads and maybe a few slices of Ledo plain cheese pizza. I am thinking we should get a lawyer since my Mom has laid there for 3 weeks and they had no idea to check her back after a fall when she came into the emergency room. What were they thinking? I pray for peace and pray that Mom is taken care of. Thanks again for your kind words I don't want to burden anyone but I feel like I am living in HELL right now..
Julie
Malpractice is REALLY hard to prove, although I agree with you that it sounds as if SOMEONE was negligent. Keep in mind that hospitals have really high paid, highly skilled attorneys on staff, but if it makes you feel better, then by all means, call an attorney - generally a call/consult doesn't cost anything.
Good luck!
