3 THINGS FOR WEDNESDAY
Today, I'm grateful for:
1. This should be my ONLY thing!! HAPPY'S TOY, PINKY-DINK, THAT WE LEFT AT THE OCEAN, WAS FOUND ALIVE AND WELL LIVING UNDER THE SOFA OF THE HOUSE WE RENTED AND WILL BE COMING HOME THIS WEEK!!!! I know, I know, it's nuts, but unless you have a pet who's attached to a toy, you couldn't possibly understand. We haven't been saying the "P" word, but you can see her sniffing everywhere, looking for it! I was going to have it mailed back, but a friend is headed to the beach, so he'll pick it up for us!!! It's a safe bet the rental office thinks I'm crazy, but I don't care - I felt SOOOOO guilty about leaving it behind, and Happy will be ULTRA HAPPY!!
2. I've lost 3 pounds since coming back from the beach!!! My head is complaining, because it doesn't think I'm eating enough, but since my pouch never complains that it's empty, that's okay with me. I'm winning this battle!!!
3. A new outfit!! Well, a new top that I bought at the beach!! It's very colorful and looks good on me - therefore, I FEEL good!!!
I tried calling Helen last night, but the phone just rang endlessly, so I'll try again today and update everyone when I can. Here's hoping her fever is gone.
Okay, gotta run!! Back in a bit!!!
Have a great day!!!
Tia
Good morning you colorful tootsie you !!!! I can soooo identify with the swamped .. I have no business even taking a quick lurk, much less taking time to post . lol
1) Another pound missing this morning .. there is usually a small bump back up after a drop, but then it settles back. The number this a.m. was an all new ('recent') low.
2) Once again my little furry kids .. they just need to learn how to leave me alone when I am trying to sleep or adjusting my position during the night .. they are a constant source of amusement when I am awake to enjoy them.
3) Headed to southern MD this weekend for a parade in Mechanicsville with Mack, and seeing cousins we haven't seen for a while .. looking forward to a nice visit.
Gotta run ....
Hugs, Mo
Comparison is the thief of joy!
If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished. Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago. I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits! Wherever you are in your journey ... It's ALL good!!!
Hi Moie!
I am SO honored that you have time for us!! LOL!!! You know I ALWAYS enjoy chatting with you, either here or IRL. I talked to Terry M. yesterday (go****'s been forever). She's doing well - she had her gallbladder out several months ago, married life is wonderful, and finally, after a year of being on the market, she has a contract on her house, so hopefully, by September, she'll only be paying one mortgage!!! Other than that, she's doing well, and like you, is swamped!!
Way to go on the pound!! WOOOOO-HOOOOOOO!!! An all-new low? How AWESOME!!!
Have a great time this weekend!!!! Do the buncles go with?
MUAH!
T
Wonderful news about Terry M's house! I can imagine it will be a major relief to lose that extra payment.
The all new 'recent' low .. I still have about 15-17 pounds to get to the real all time low, but I had gained back 10 to 15 pounds and then held steady for a long time, then suddenly gained another 10 to 15 ugly pounds between November and March/April. Those pounds are all GONE !!! and I'm working on the rest. I know that it's the carbs and I need to continue with the good choices!
Mechanicsville will be a day trip, so the kids don't get to go .. tho they will be making the RV trip (their first) to Rock Hall next weekend (Aug 7-9). They go this coming Monday (8/3) to be declawed. I am SURE that is not going to be a happy experience for them but I am hoping they forgive me quickly !!!
Hugs, Mo

TG that Happy's special toy was found. I can only imagine what she's been going thru.
3 lbs?? That is AWESOME!! WTG girlfriend!
So today, I am grateful for:
1. being able to read and post on OH. I've been having issues for the past couple days.
2. That Tia is back. We missed you!
3. That the DH started a new, promising job yesterday. Same company he worked for 6+ years ago so I feel good about this one. Will be night work, in the DC metro tunnels.
4. That my doggies will keep me company at night when DH is not home, and alert me to anyone that doesn't belong there.
5. that I get to go to the beach this weekend. CANNOT WAIT!
6. That my SIL "let me" get my niece a cell phone. My niece has some messed up parents and has been handed around way too much recently, and not always allowed to use a phone to call her mom or us. Solved that. :)
Ok, back to work... more later.
peace,
A
I missed you, too!!!
Amen on the toy!! I was sweating it, let me tell ya!! LOL!!!
Yeah, 3 pounds!!! Thanks, love!!
OH THANK GOD!!! I know you and Bill must be SOOO relieved. WHEW!!! Here's to things coming together again for you.
Thank God your niece has you!!! And I know the cell phone will make YOU feel better, too! Mighty nice of your SIL, too, I might add. *rolling eyes*
Have a great day! Hugs to Bill on the new job!

Next trick I'm working on is that they allow her to live with us during the school week so she can stay in her current school, not have to be shuffled around, and have some stability. Wish me luck - that's gonna need a MIRACLE.
