Thanks to all for the update. I sure hope she loses that fever and can go home soon. She has been through so much. I am sending good thoughts and prayers her way..

Oh, poor Helen!  How well I can remember how she's feeling.  It's been 6 weeks, post op for me, but NEVER expected the pain from the gas, that I had!
After calling the Dr., the only thing that helped was giving myself an enema!  Did I say "giving myself?"  When I got married, and my husband said, "I do" I don't think he knew that was one of the things he'd be doing!  Whatever would I do without him???

Helen, I'm sure you'll be back, online soon, and when you read this, know you're in my thoughts and prayers.  Eventhough you may feel you'll never get better, you WILL!

Hi Ginger!

So you're 6 weeks out?  How's everything going for you?  I've said it so many times, but the first 6 weeks or so are truly the hardest.  And I say that having had a complication free surgery/recovery.  Still, I don't think I'd want to go back to those weeks for ANYTHING!

Your hubby sounds like a gem!!  LOL!!!  Poor guy!!!!

Come join us more!  I'll give Helen your regards!

Hugs,

Tia

A little OT here, but back in 2001 when I had back surgery, I was "backed up" for over a week. Even perscription laxatives were no good. Then came the "E" wordWell, El had to go get it, she handed me the box, and I told her there was no way possible for it to be self administered. Well, I knew for sure she loved me back then.....
