3 THINGS FOR TUESDAY!
Tia it's nice to see you back from the beach. Glad you had a good time!!
Julie, I will keep your mom in my prayers.
Darla your are one exercising girl! You make me to get up and move around. Ok, it passed, whew that was scary for a minute.
Here are mine for today.
1. That Marty and I both have jobs. It is very scary out there and no one is as secure as they think they are.
2. That we all have our health. Didnt realize how important this was to me until this year. Always prayed for Marty and the kids to have good health, but never really gave a thought to myself. Now I see how much I matter.
3. That Marty has 2 really good job interviews coming up and Im praying so hard he gets the second one which would be 25 minutes from home as opposed to the 1.5 he's driving now.
4. That my good friend got a negative result on her cervical biopsy that has had us worried for weeks now.
5. That I dont have to run my teenager anywhere today. She has been the volunteer queen this summer and earning her service learning hours like crazy, not to mention tennis and other activities which I tolerate because she is getting lots of exercise.
6. That Marty has an appt on Thursday to get a fill. He really needs one. He has been eating everything in sight and has no restriction at all. I dont want him to gain back weight.
Hi Mellie!! Thanks, we had a great time!! The week there always goes by soooo quickly, never seems to be enough time to squeeze everything in! I'd like to say I'll post pics, but unfortunately *rolling eyes* my brother hit "Format" and deleted about 300 pics. Men!
You're right, it's REALLY scary on the job front. MSP is continuing cuts. I hope Marty's interviews go well! Keep us posted, please.
Yes, you DO matter. That, in itself, is a HUGE victory for you!!! I hope things get straightened out for you, healthwise!
God, I hate the waiting part of test results - it just sucks. Glad it worked out for your friend, though!
You know, K's service hours are built in - I'm not sure how it works, but unless she chooses to do extra, by the time she graduates, it's a guarantee that she'll have the required number.
I hope Marty stays on top of the fills. That's the scary part of the banding procedure for me - that you can really let go and undo everything you've worked so hard for. Not that you can't with any other surgery, but it seems easier with the band. Hopefully, he'll reach a sweet spot soon.
Hugs,
T
Oh my goodness I would cry if I lost 300 pictures.....just cry.
Yes I finally figured out who needs to be worked on and im really putting myself first a lot now. Im thankful for all the well wishers on this board and I really am feeling back to normal. Ive had a few bumps but nothing major.
I think my kids have a few built in hours too but mainly they have to do it on their own. Kate has been working at a senior center this summer as a receptionist and helping to do cleaning tasks and working with the seniors. She loves it really and works so well with the seniors. She's done about 20 hours this summer and had 10 already. Im hoping for her to get most of her hours done before 11th grade because she plans on doing duel enrollment and completing a few college years before graduation. She wants to be a pre-k teacher.
Marty was really scared to get a fill and I think thats whats taken him so long, but he finally realized that he wasnt losing anymore and probably on the verge of gaining back, and he said he didnt want this whole thing to be a waste so he decided to just go and do it and get it over with. He really is a trooper and its been so hard on him since I lost my band.
It is really not all that bad - having been through 3 of them myself. Nothing to fear but wondering what you'll feel like afterwards with regards to restriction.
Here goes!

I pray you hubby gets the new job and I am glad to see you caring about your health. It is so hard when we take care of everyone but us. Good luck on hubbys fill. I hope it all works out for him.
