Hello Maryland OHer's - You won't believe what happened in my family.
My daughter in NY, that was pregnant, well guess what - she had the baby.
If you remember i was trying to get Barb to schedule my return to work around the expectant birth of my grandson at the end of august.
Well, William Matthew Carter is here- he was born 6 weeks pre-mature on 7/17 @ 7:34pm weighing in at 4 pounds 13 oz. in Manhattan, NYC. God works in mysterious ways- doesn't he?
I wish you could see him. He is gorgeous. Well, i've only seen him via pic mail but i can't wait.
Turns out my daughter walked into her docs office on Thursday because of foot and leg swelling that was really bad. When the hospital checked her BP they suspected pre-eclampsia and that was what it was.
They immediately hooked her up to all of this eqip. and starting doing testing. Induced labor on Friday morn and it was really tough for her but thank God the baby was born by eve. on Friday. Okay so, last day of work tomorrow, leave for NYC Friday nite, there for Shower Saturday and return on Sunday to get ready for the clear liquid diet on Monday and Surgery on Tuesday morn @ 9:30am. I'm told that means i'll be in surgery @ 11:30am. OMG! so mcuh going on. I did the pre-op class on this past Tuesday - it was exciting lots of info. I'm ready.
