oh my i just knew something was going to happen, im just so upset, dr vanguri called said my gluclose was 348 and i need to get a hold of my primary care see him asap today get something done to lower it and go saturday to get another test or my surgery is cancled till its lowered

348 BS is high. anything over 100 fasting is considered at minimum to be pre-diabetic.

Helen,

When you had the blood work done were you fasting? Please contact your primary right away and see if they can give ou something to control it until Monday and trust me you will most likely not need anymore meds for that after the surgery.

yes went to him @ 10 0clock and took test , this is not from the abgs testing or what ever test i took with pulmonary test is it cause that one i did not fast

The one for the pulmonary test is not for glucose. But you did the other blood work fasting? Then your sugar was too high for fasting. You definitely need to see your PCP right away. Also make sure you fast for 12 hours and stay away from sugards and carbs until you get your next fasting blood sugar test.
