OT: Want to visit OC --need ideas for decent affordable places to stay.
Hi all!! I grew up going to Ocean City every summer, but for some strange reason it was a lot cheaper when mom and dad financed the whole trip!! :)
I'd love to get back because I've missed it, but I'm finding most accomodations to be terribly expensive--like 250 a night expensive.
Does anyone have any ideas of places that are affordable, but not roach motels? It's so hard to know just looking online.
Thanks for any suggestions. I've had friends mention Bethany Beach or Rehobeth, but I don't know much about those so any feedback about them is much appreciated too.

Ok Honey I will tell you where we go. It is a nice clean place and very reasonable. We stay at Francis Scott Key Motel it is right befor you cross the bridge to go into OC across from the outlets and Outback steak house. They have indoor pool, hot tub, outdoor pool with bar, very nice expensive restraunt on site, BBQ grill and pavillion, game room, putt putt golf. They also have a beach shuttle that wil take you to and from the beach. I know the prices are much cheaper than on the beach. I know the owners from staying there so much and it is a clean place and family minded. They have a special where you pay for 4 days and get the 5th day free as well as other specials. They are open all year too. The website is fskmotel.com. I am sure you would like it. They have many kinds of rooms as well as vacation cottages and that where the DIck Gelman Breat Cancer Motorcycle people go every year.. Check them out..

We just stayed at Sea Bay Hotel on 60th street right by the bridge. Easy access. All you have to do is walk across the street to the beach. It cost us $110 a night it had 2 full beds, small fridge, microwave, wireless internet. it was a good hotel. I found it on the website. You get a cheaper rate then going through the hotel. I think the rates change depending on the day. Good luck!!
