Good Morning Everyone!

Well, my nephew came through his wisdom tooth extraction very well. It was funny when I went to see him afterward while he was in recovery he thought it had not happened yet - LOL! He was stunned to learn that it was over.

I had dinner last night with a friend from the company I am hoping to work for. She gave me some insight into the environment which will be invaluable. Plus it was good to see her and just catch up. I am still waiting for the paperwork on this offer. I won't feel like this is settled until I get it and know that it will meet my needs.

Today, I am grateful that....

1 - My cousin has offered me a few things that belonged to my Dad's Mom. They will be downsizing as they will be moving to Florida with my cousin's new job. I am a sentimental person, so I am excited to have a few of these things I remember from my childhood. Yes, I know it is more "stuff" when I am trying to declutter, but I can't help myself!

2 - I am starting to feel stronger with my control over my eating. I am not perfect, but I am managing to avoid a number of the new impulses I have given into lately. Tonight is pool night at the gym. that always manages to burn calories which will also help!

3 - For a general feeling of hope and control coming into my life. As long as this job comes through, I have every reason to hope this will continue. I hope I am not jinxing myself!!!!!!

I am going to get out of the house for a while today. I will pop in when I can.

Have a super day!

Yeah RIGHT!!  HELL NOOOO!!  If I can walk on in the morning and walk off in the evening, it's all good!  I've gone out to sea a few times (2 9 day trips and one 5 day trip), flown on and off the carrier, and it sooooo loud that although you try for many many hours to sleep it's never very restful because you are waking up all the time.  If I never have to do it again, it will be too soon!

I joined FB to stay in touch with my MANY cousins and it has gotten me back in touch with people I hadn't connected with in 20+ years.  I love it!

Darla, Congrats on being cleared for weights and Pilates. I know this makes you happy.

Heather, it's good to know that our "babies" are well taken care of when we are away.  I know how much "puppy" hates when I leave him and he usually gives me the cold cat shoulder for a few hours when I return.

Debbie... Hopefully your nephew won't be in too much pain after his extraction and good luck getting the position you are hoping for, and hopefully it will be substantial enough to meet your needs and then some!

Today, I'm grateful for:

1. My grandpuppies who great me when I return home. I'll only have them for a few more days when Rachel returns from Vegas.

2.  A wonderful boss who appreciates me and is genuinely concerned for me and my health.

3.  For the ENT appointment yesterday and the confirmation that my dizziness is not caused by Miss Clarol but from a viral ear infection that should clear up in 4-6 weeks.  Hopefully sooner since I'm tired of singing.... I'm so dizzy my head is spinning.... and those are the only words I know! LoL

4. My good mood. I've been in it for several days... maybe a week... and nothing has made it falter... and nothing seemed to bring it on.. I'm just exceptionally happy!

5. The time I spent with my son yesterday afternoon. He was concerned about my dizziness and asked if he could go to the Drs. with me and since I had time I went and picked him up.  Later we had dinner with him and my other son Matt.

6. Going out tonight to a private party. The theme is Tom Cruise/Risky Business... now that sounds like fun!

7.   Life in general... it's great, and I'm grateful!

What are you grateful for?

Do the MDs have any answers yet on the dizziness? i am so sorry that you are still dealing with this.

I am so glad of the time you had with your son. I know how much this means to you.

He said it's a viral infection and gave it the name of Vestibular Neuronitis. I haven't looked it up yet, but will read up on today online.  He said if it gets any worse to come back and see him. If not, it should steadily improve over the next 4-6 weeks.

It is annoying to say the least.

Thanks for your concern Debbie

Ren, I know you will miss the babies when they go home. It is nice to have a good BOSS any day over a mean one. Glad they are zooming in on your dizziness I can only imagine how you feel. I hope you keep the good mood sometimes they are hard to hold on to withh the roller coaster of life. Great to have dinner with you sons it is so important that we still spend time with our kids. Have fun at the party and stay happy..
