Okay, first of all Happy Hump Day Everybody!

I did all of my pre-op stuff today, EKG, Physical, Blood Work - Thank you God, I got it all done.
Picked up my FMLA paperwork for DVR's office and thank goodness I was able to get eveything done in one place on Geipe Road/St. Agnes territory.

That's the good.  Okay for the bad.

I am once again without a mode of transportation.  I was paying a friend to get me to work daily but now, because he says that the cab business has slowed way down and he's not able to make the amount of money he needs to pay his owner of the car a day, he turned in his cab today.

I did buy a car, a 1994 Honda Civic on July 3rd, but it needed some minor work, which i employed a mechanic to do, and he has whipped it into shape, but i have to wait to be able to get the tags and Registration/Inspection/ and all of that until after i have my surgery.

I thought that i would have the driver available until that time, well that's not going to happen.

This is a far stretch, but i don't know what else to do, but does anyone have to go pass the Key Bridge or live near me (North Bend Road and Fredrick Road) that i could car pool to wor****il i'm released from work for the surgery which is July 24th.

I am using this as a last resource.  I work for the State of Maryland at Maryland Transportation Authority in the Human Resources Dept. which is right beside the Key Bridge.

I can work out a payment arrangement -- i will get paid on Tuesday--

I have 7 days until my surgery and don't have a week of time to take off and besides that i have a temp starting on Monday that i have to train to cover me while i'm out until 8/25. I have to get my car on the road during that time, which is another reason I wanted DVR's office to give me until 9/7. 

 I can't believe that this is happening one week b4 i'm to be off for the surgery.

If you can offer me any kind of resource, please, i'm listening.

as for transportation,  I tried to bribe hubby to drive you...... it was a no go... sorry.

Hi sweetie. I am so sorry your going through this. That has to SUCK! I wish I could help. I work from home honey. Did you try Craigslist.org under the "Ride Share" section. A friend of mine had to do that before when his truck was repoed. He had no problem finding someone. Im so so sorry your in this situation. The last thing you need before surgery is STRESS! UGH!!! Have you thought of a rental car? There is a place that is super cheap in Laurel. I could drive you there to get the car. They deal with cash only no credit cards. Just let me know. I feel helpless for you honey.

I have worked out something with a co-worker as i explained in further detail to Jilly.

I may have to work a little harder for next week though since his schedule is crazy for next week.

I live at Fredrick Road and North Bend.  just at the crusp of Catonsville.

OMG! I cannot wait until my last day next Friday/the 24th.

I'm sorry i didn't get back to you yesterday, it was a crazy, crazy day.

My Deptuty Director did put me in touch with my Director of Training and he'll be able to drive me in on some days.  He got me here this morning and will help me to get home today and in tomm.

We'l work on next week he has a crazy schedule.

Let me ask you, does that Rental Car place have a phone number or do you have the number??

I'd appreicate it. I might not need it but if you have the number i'd like to take it.
