Thanks Debbie!  I am having a hard time accepting the fact that I wasn't born this way, I didn't have a accident, I DID THIS TO MYSELF! I am doing better, but it still freaks me out. After seeing my family, I would leave thinking, boy, I wish they would all shut up and leave me alone. I know when I am ready I can lose this weight. I just wasn't ready! Thank God I was ready before it was too late, I understand that, but it still freaks me out, that basically this is self inflicted! I'm working on this, it took me 4? years to get this way, I am not going to be healed overnight! OMG, it's like I am possessed, I can't stop writing or talking about this issue. Believe it or not, the surgery was a breeze, this emotional baggage is a trip! Thanks for reading, Leslie:)

I can tell i'm already going to have all the skin too. I've still got 123 to lose and my tummy and boobs stay sagged.  I hope that things get better for you. It helps to vent.

just for info... I heard of a lady who donated her skin to a burn center and they paid for her surgery... worth lookin into?
While you can donate your skin (and what a wonderful thing that is) just like most organ donations my understanding is that they cannot (and do not) pay for it.  In addition, most hospitals prefer cadaver skin.

I tried a google search of this but didn't have much success with finding just one article that would explain it well enough that  I could link to just one article.

Fortunately or unfortunately, I didn't even know I had severe obstructed S.A. (having 73 episodes every hr.****il I went for my pre op testing. My Dr. said since I was having WLS within the week, she wouldn't make me start with the CPAP machine. But, I had to promise that at 6 months post op, I would be retested. As far as I can tell from what I've been told, I now am silent when I sleep. I also feel different while driving, and throughout my day. My diabetes is gone and my Dr is 99% that my S.A. is history. Next month Aug-Sept I will be tested, so I am keeping my fingers crossed!

I can kinda relate Leslie. That's the same boat I'll probably be in after I have my WLS and start loosing my weight.  As it is, I have a panna that hangs nice and low. YUCK.  Last night I was experiencing a sharp pain in the groin/under belly area.  I was personally hoping it was a hernia from my sagging belly and that insurance would pay to remove my belly so the hernia wouldnt recur. lol.

Good luck...and vent away, we all need to do that sometimes.  It's good to get it out instead of holding it in!

Angie, you are too funny! Who else besides WLS patients would wish for a medical problem to fix a  unsightly plastic surgery issue! LOL  I guess I feel a little better this am. I am so shocked and pleasantly surprised how many people responded to this post. I knew people would read, but I honestly was a little skeptical to push the submit button, because I thought people would think that I was crazy, and TMI LADY! EVERYONE that has responded have been nothing short of wonderful, helpful, and so supportive. I was truly touched. NOW, I remember why I became a member of the OH Forum.  Thanks to you, and all those *****sponded, it;s really helped me realize, how blessed I am for having WLS, and any side effects are small in comparison to what could of been. Again, thanks to all, Leslie
