All I have to say is that I am having a real problem with it lately. I try, try, try to pass it without picking it up but my arm just leaves my side, my hand grabs it and my mouth eats the whole bag. I have no control over the functions of my body. What's a girl to do?

Throw it away.  I know, I know, that whole "starving kids in China" thing, but seriously, if you can't avoid it, get rid of it!!

You could do your own!  I just add Splenda to my popcorn.  I know, not the same, but you have to get creative and play games with your own head!

Gail,

I am going through the very same thing as you.  There is a spot here in Va right before you enter WV that they make fresh Kettle corn every Saturday & Sunday,  I am so addicted to that popcorn. I couldn't help myself but I bought one Sunday on our way back from picking up my mother in law. It was so good nice and warm too.. Last night it was 12;30 am and I was chomping away with that. I always get the huge bag... I need help also.  Maybe I will wear a straight jacket when I pass through there.

(((((((hugs)))))

Sweetie you are not a sicko...  We just have to fight that carb monster.   What I have been doing is snacking on Kashi Go Lean Crunch most of the time to make myself stay away from the Kettle corn.

Ok I am going to check the pm now.

Gail:
I love it too and allow myself to have the little 100 calorie bags on occasion.

I love it too but only certain kinds.  I bought a small bag at CVS the other day and it was pretty good.  However, I'm partial to the Amish Kettle Corn that Darla brought to the Relay for Life!!

((( Gail )))

I'll give you my answer to everything these days .,.. Get braces on your teeth ... lmao .. it seriously limits the things you can put in your mouth ..

Seriously, I have no good answer or suggestion ... I struggle daily with my food demons and the braces are the only thing that are keeping them in check right now .. but I fear getting more courageous in testing the limits and getting back into trouble.

Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!

My carb of conflict is PB filled pretzels. This week is the first week in a long time where I bought a small bag (I wanted a big canister) at WalMart and have only had a few of them each day. It has helped that I have been busier this week. For me, being home for any length of time with nothing that I HAVE to do, is a big challenge. And if I have stress going on at the same time it is worse! I also notice that when I eat more carbs (generally spend more time eating) that I take in less fluids. So I am trying to focus on the fluids first before I allow myself to have a snack. When I do that, I sometimes get busy and forget to go back for the snack for a longer period of time.

I think as has been said before, this is going to be an ongoing struggle for the rest of our lives. The good news is that our tool has given us the opportunity to be in a better place than we were in the past when we gave into these cravings. Also, I firmly believe that as long as we stay connected to the cause together, we stay focused and less likely to give up all together like we would have in the past. We may struggle from time to time, but united we will persevere!
