Cinnamon Start with Protein Cereal
Hey Jen:
I actually bought that cereal, but decided not to try it because of the sugar. I have been eating the south beach living high protein cereal bars for breakfast.
serving 1 bar
140 calories
7 g sugar
10 g of protein
And they really taste great! I've had the cinnamon raisin, peanut butter and the chocolate ones.

Since you are so early out I really wouldn't recommend you eat that amount of sugar. I know we have to keep our sugar content 5 to 6 grams per meal.
One thing for sure is that even though we have the malabsorption with the RNY we will not absorb all calories this early but you will absorb the sugar and store it will store as fat (and you can dump) I know that sometimes I can eat something high in sugar and be ok and for some reason the next time I would dump.
I would suggest for breakfast. Making ham and cheese rolled up in a bed of lettuce with fat free mayo... You can do the same with Tuna. I don't like plain tuna. So I add tomatoes cute in cubes, celery, onions, a tiny bit of plain bread crumbs, lettuce and f/f mayo.
I also make cream of wheat with 1 % or 2% milk I put salt and splenda for taste.
If you like Chili make it for the week and have it for breakfast. or buy it from Wendy's.
I also make bean soup with meat and carrots in a crock pot and my hubby and I eat for breakfast sometimes. It is yummy and high in protein from walmart vanilla flavor. We kake it with milk and sometimes add some fruit to it and put it the blenda with ice.
I hope this helps you some.
You can buy protein bars for breakfast that are low in sugar.
You can also have a protein shake for breakfast. We use body fortress whey protei

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.
