MOVIE REVIEWS

Since I had a little rare free time this weekend, I watched a couple of movies:

Gran Torino - Clint Eastwood is still DA BOMB!!!  Kind of a surprising, not so surprising ending!!!  I was a little shocked at his obvious racism and language, but it made sense in the movie.

I Hate Valentine's - Nia Vardolos and John Corbette (Both of My Big Fat Greek Wedding, he of Sex & the City) - Although these are two of my fave actors, DON'T waste your $ or time!

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas - Set in 1942 Berlin/Auschwiz - Riveting and sickening (not gory) at the same time.  A horrifying ending.

Anybody seen anything good or bad lately?

Jerry and I loved the movie Gran Torino.  Jerry's as racist as it comes - so this was a fun movie for him to watch.  I liked it because it had a good story line to it.

I watched Knowing with Nicholas Cage - I enjoyed that movie - but some like Sylvie didn't care much for it. 

I've also seen Milk - that was a pretty good movie.

 

We saw The Proposal a couple weeks ago when Kylie was with Mom and Dad.  Even Floyd enjoyed it!  As for rentals, Step Brothers was a friggin' HOOT! 

The Proposal was a REALLY funny good movie:  I even suggested Mom go see it!
and trust me I edit what Mom sees LOL

I loved The Proposal and so did my mom!

OMG, I about LOST it when Sandra Bullock started singing "to the window, to the wall, to the sweat drip down my ba!!$" 

LOL I don't think my mom understood that song so that was a good thing but the theater was cracking up

Thank goodness that is all of the song she sang because the rest is REALLY bad! LOL  Betty White was SO funny in that movie too.

p.s. Sorry you didn't get to join me and Angie Friday, it would have been nice to finally meet you!

I thought Step Brothers was pretty funny!!!!
