3 THINGS FOR MONDAY!!
Morning Moie!
It makes me feel so good to know you now have those 3 little love buncles!!! I KNOW you were missing the boys, and although it's not the same, I know they'll help your heart heal!
Wow!! Thanks to Mom's asthma, we've had the a/c on since May. Poor Dad and Happy sit in the basement in front of the space heater!!! LOL!!!
Glad the braces are working!!! And the scale's cooperating!!!
MUAH!

Today, I'm grateful for alot of things.
1. I have a wonderful group of friends here on OH. Had I not embarked on this journey, I would have not known these wonderful ladies who continuously cheer me up or keep me in giggly stitches.
2. It was a wonderful weekend although I worked most of it.
3. My scale is still steadily dropping - (PS I don't post my weight updates until Fridays)
4. I got to play on the beach and though I have a nasty bruise from my spill in the sand; I was able to enjoy the beach volleyball game.
5. The weather was absolutely gorgeous yesterday - I couldn't believe it.
6. Baby's neck is doing much much better (she's had a wound on her neck that came from what the docs/staff and I think was a reaction to the old style hospital necklace especially from that silver buckle) - and she's cooperating with her medications. And, I think Holly is starting to "tolerate" her now.
7 Many more things to be grateful for but I'll keep the list short :)
Love Ya'll and have a wonderful day!!!!
1. I am almost done the rehab to the front of my house. I think one or two more weekends and it should be done. Friday I am getting my new appliances. I can't wait!!! When my parents come down after my surgery, I am making my dad fix up the shrubs so by the end of the month, my house will look awesome, from the outside at least. Still working on the inside!
2. my foster kitties. I am really attached to them and they give me so much love whenever i visit. It is going to be hard to adopt them out but I am looking forward to finding them permanent homes so they can roam free. If anyone is looking for a wonderful kitten, let me know.
3. professional accolades. one of the reasons I got the position at AMSAA is because I impressed one of the team leaders. Last week he said that he really thinks I am going to do well and even suggested he would want to hire me directly. Also, I just joined Toastmasters and they asked me to be VP of Education. That is right below President!!! I am shocked and proud that I made such a good impression. Now all I have to do is work my ass off!
4. New prescription anti-depressants. Pristiq is really working very very well for me. I have been consistantly out of bed and doing things, staying active. I added Wellbutrin to the mix yesterday and I think that will just continue to help me stay positive and functioning well. Now all I have to do is stop eating crap and start exercising again. hmmm....
Nic -
I assume you checked Mooshie's nails? A torn or snagged one can be incredibly painful for them, and cause swelling. Poor baby!!!!
That is VERY cool about the new position and about Toastmasters!!! Didja ever think, in your pre-op days, that you'd have the guts to stand up before people like that??? Way to go!!!
As far as stopping eating crap - well, let me just say I did it cold turkey last Monday. I've had great success so far, but believe me, it's ALWAYS there in the back of my mind, haunting me!!
You have a lot going on in your life - maybe once things calm down a bit, you'll be able to get a handle on it.
I'll be at the beach when you have your surgery, so call me when you feel up to it and let me know how you make out, please!
Hugs,
T
