3 THINGS FOR MONDAY!!

Good morning!!!  Well, it seems as if summer hit us over the weekend - at least as far as the humidity!!  I had a busy, great weekend!  I got a lot accomplished, and went to bed tired, but not dead, as I would've been pre-op.  If nothing else, I continue to be amazed at my never ending energy level.  That speaks volumes for staying on top of your protein, fluid and vitamin intake!!!

Today, I'm grateful for:

1.  That although my car decided to die (again!) yesterday, it was fixed with no cost to me!!  Seems the alternator that was put in several months ago had a "short," and Pep Boys replaced it!!  Of course, it caused me to miss a much anticipated Greek dinner, but I needed my car to be in top shape for the beach!!

2.  That I got a quick glimpse of Darla yesterday!!!  She's ALWAYS smiling and always has a giggle in her voice!  LOVE YOU!!!

3.  That I had an amazing weekend, eating-wise!!!!  And, I'm happy to say that since last Monday, when I stepped on the scale to see a number frowning back at me, I am down 8 pounds!!  I'm not silly enough to think it'll stay off without a lot of work, but hopefully, I'm getting back into the swing of things!

4.  That today is my Wednesday.  I've got lots to do between the two households, but hopefully, I'll be able to get it all done by Friday.

5.  I'm meeting several friends at the beach.  Heather M. & family will be down next weekend, so I'm hoping to meet her skinny self for a 'rita, Boxer's gonna try to come down, so hopefully, we'll be able to lay by the pool and catch up, and I'm meeting with two friends whom I haven't seen since high school!  They both live in Atlanta, but needed an OC fix, so they're coming up.

So, obviously, more than 3, and I think I could go on, but maybe I should save some in reserve for the rest of the week since the boss is back today!!  LOL!!

Have a great day everyone!!!

Hugs,

Tia

Wow, sure sounds like you have some awesome days ahead!  So glad your car got fixed, and especially at no cost.  And the 8 lbs - WOOT WOOT!!!

Today I am grateful for:

1.  Friends and family - I've been going thru some challenging times lately and my friends and family really rally around me to make sure I'm okay and listen to me and help me get past the 'poor me' stage quickly.

2.  That summer has shown itself!! YAY!!!  Yesterday I spent almost the entire day outside - running errands, playing in the pool with my friends and their kids... playing with my dogs... and then ending the evening with a wonderful HEALTHY meal of chicken and corn on the cob on the grill.

3.  That I made it to work only 5 minutes late. LOL.  I was up way too late last night and just could not get moving today.  And of course my 'quick' snuggle with one of the dogs turned into like 10 minutes. :)

((( ANG )))

It's okay to play "poor me" once in a while, and from what you've described, you deserve it!

I hope things turn around soon!!

Sounds like you had a fun weekend!  Yesterday was my first corn on the cob of the season, and while I prefer the sweeter variety (go figure), it was YUM!

Snuggling with the dogs is almost worth being late.  I know they sustain you!

I'll get back to your PM shortly!

Love ya!

You can ignore that PM if you want, I'm over it now. LOLLLLLLLL.  Worked out - he went Saturday and got 'back in.'

Have you ever tried GRILLED corn on the cob? OMG.... so yum!  I got it at a local produce stand and they said it was from the Eastern Shore.  Was awesome.

Okay, well, let me just say Woo-Hoo!!!  And if you need me, you know where I am!!!

And I know where YOU are - after all, I found you and dragged you back, didn't I?

Nope, never grilled it, been wanting to try it!!!  Guess I'll have to come up to CC to try it one weekend!!!

MUAH!!!!

Good Morning all:

Glad you got the car fixed but sorry you missed your dinner>  Ummm Always have a smile
on my face:  obviously you forgot our texting Saturday :  I was definatly not smiling then!!

Mom swears you think they are both crazy LOL  We can laugh about it now but Saturday
was a DIFFERENT STORY!

Anyway :   Today I am grateful for;

1.  K's pickiness over clothes LOL Sorry T but I just can not help being grateful for
the bag of clothes :  especially the pants I have on today and the size L shirt
Never ever did I think I would get in a 12/14  again.

2.  For the perfect weather for my BFF's sons birthday party yesterday :  I wish that park
was here instead of York .  $65.00 for the pavillion for 12 hours:  had four small
grills and a nice bathroom within easy walking distance :  nice walking trails from
what my friend tells me too :  a great playground within easy walking distance.
It would be perfect for a board get together if it was just here in Md.

3.  That I survived Saturday without Killing my Dad -  to make a long story short-
I dropped them at the door of Johns Hopkins and went to park the car-  30 minutes
later I arrived where they were supposed to be only to find the clinic door locked
and no parents in sight :  after walking to the security desk and walking back
to the clinic to wait for help I sat there for 20 minutes -  Mom finally called my cell:
they were in the emergency room -  The Dr then went to try and find them -
Mom finally called me back again and I told her to come up to the clinic -
a full 1.5 hours after arriving at the hospital Mom and Dad finally showed up -
God what a mess -  ask Tia I was texting her updates.   Anyway Dad's vision
is no worse and there is still no sign of infection ( THANK GOD)   Other then
making me miss lunch with Tia all is well LOL  We got back in the car at
3:10 and Mom says gee we can make it to the Amish Market for a pretzel dog
if you hurry LOL  3:45 we pulled into the lot.  By 4:30 we were all napping!

I think your parents are adorable, but OH MY GOD!!!  The stuff they put you through!!  Next time you drop them off, they are to have explicit orders that they do NOT move from that drop off site.  Poor Darla!!!

I am SO glad the clothes fit!!!  I knew they would!  It's about dang time you started wearing clothes that were the proper size!  Now......about the hair!!!!  LOL!!!  Boxer's gonna go to my guy, Kathy's been to my guy.........!!!!

That park sounds nice.  There are a lot of great parks here in Maryland for not a whole lot of $.  The problem is, they book up pretty quickly for the summer.  You know the difficulties I had in trying to plan a picnic at a park, hence the one at my brother's.

Although I'm sorry to have missed you on Saturday, that's awesome news about Dad's vision - I KNOW what a relief that is to you.

Hugs,

T
