3 THINGS FOR FRIDAY EVE!!!
Today, I'm grateful for:
1. I almost have the office to myself!!!! At least I will this afternoon!!! WOOO-HOOO!! I can actually get some work done! Believe it or not, as much as I'm on here, I STILL manage to get a lot done (typing 110+ wpm helps a lot!!). But, when there are people in the office needing things, it takes me away from actually getting stuff done, ya know?
2. That although the carb monster's teeth are REALLY lethal (Cullen-like, in fact), I've been able to avoid him!!! Beginning Day 4 of no refined carbs!! WOO-HOO!! And my scale thanked me this a.m.!!!
3. My friends - Although I may not always BE the best friend, I'm so blessed to HAVE the best friends!
4. Yes, another B funny - On Tuesday, I told him I was going to Walmart, and asked him if there was anything he wanted. He said, "Yeah, some of those gourmet meals." Gourmet meals? B? I actually thought he meant the frozen Kid's Cuisine meals, but he said, "No, no, no, the ones in the red box with brownies!!!!" LOL!!! He mean the $1.00 Banquet meals!!!! OMG!!! I don't think I EVER would've thought that - but he likes them because there are brownies in them!!! LMAO!! What can I say? He's my boy, after all!!
5. This GLORIOUS weather!! Oh, wow, it SO does not seem like July!!! More like September!!! I'll take it, I'll take it!!
Have a great day!!!
Hugs,
Tia
Tia - I get it on the gourmet meals... I have had a few since surgery, pre-op it would have taken 4 to fill me up - post I can eat the meat from one and be satisfied for hours... It is an amazement to me. Probably not the best thing to eat, but every now and again it makes my lunch an easy fix.
1. My flexible Job - it allows me to head out to lunch today knowing I will be gone more than my allotted 30 minutes and yet no one cares.
2. That things are picking up at work - we are finally getting orders in and out although it is not where it SHOULD be, with the economy we are in, I will take what I am getting.
3. My Dog - no matter what else is going on, he still loves me and is excited when I come home.
4. Reality Checks - my little cousin finally admitted yesterday he finance is not coming home (after he moved out 6 weeks ago) and today we begin canceling wedding plans. Sucky thing for me to be grateful for, but now she can begin healing and getting on with life.
Hi Angie!
I keep meaning to tell you that I tried the John Frieda products you had reviewed - VERRREEE nice! Thanks for the heads-up!! PUN INTENDED!!!
Don't worry, sometimes, because of time limitations, I'll have the "gourmet" meals, too - and like you, I do the meat first. ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS protein first!! Lately, though, thanks to some planning ahead, I haven't had to rely too much on food I haven't prepared myself.
Doggies are the best, aren't they? I took my brother's 18 year old dog to the vet's the other day - you'd have thought we were going to the park she was so excited!!! LOL!!! However, once I dropped her off back at home, my car SMELLED like dog and was covered in hair!!! ICK!! I love dogs, but there's NOTHING worse than a car that reeks of dog and has more hair than the dog. And Killy is a shepherd mix, so she's a shedder!!!! Off to the car wash tonight!!!!
Have a great lunch!!
Hugs,
Tia
My brother is boarding Killian at EMRVC in Essex (our vet). Happy is going with us. I don't think Killian would do well on a long trip, considering she's 18, and she isn't always able to get to the potty in time.
As far as my avie, my Computer Crimes guy thinks someone MAY have hacked into my OH account. He's at another computer trying to figure it out for me!
For now, enjoy the new pic!!! LOL!!!!
