SSA Ladies
Nope I can't say I know her, but then about 20,000 people work at the local SSA campus in many buildings. What component is this for? But if you shoot me the posting and your application I would be happy to give you the 'buzz words' to make your application catch her eye.
you have to write it differently than any thing you have ever written before...

hey Candy
I don't know the lady but since I JUST got my job over there, I can give you some pointers:
1. The person listed might have nothing to do with the position you apply for. The person who handled my application doesn't even know what the job was for or what I do.
2. When you fill out the application on USAJOBS.GOV, some of the positions have questions about your ability to do the job and some have ratings. Don't say no to anything and rate yourself the highest. According to my new boss, the first person to go through the applications is only looking for people who said yes/rated themselves the highest.
3. Just like Nessa said, use the keywords in the questions within the answer you give. Use buzzwords.
I am looking at the position listing right now. It doesn't have any rating questions, so you just have to answer yes to everything else and make sure your detailed description is very detailed and uses the same words as the questions. Seems like Ms. Fox is the HR person listed so she probably will not know much about the position.

Candy:
Just one more tip from a former HR person and a current Purchasing person. Make sure that you add real quantitative facts. Like . . . I have saved $1.5 milion annually on . . . . This makes people sit up and take notice and adds some actual experience to the resume. So many of them are boilerplate.
Good luck!!!
