Terrific Thursday

Good Morning everyone....
Hope you all had a restful night.

I will do doing a daily thread from now on based on the day of the week.  

I went to bed hungry and woke up excited.  Nothing will pass my lips till I get on the scale this morning  and then I will have a lovely lunch with Angie and Sylvie. Today my cracked windshield is being replaced.  Oh and of course I have the day off!

Today is Thursday and much like Laurie DeYoung on WPOC  I wish to do SIMPLE PLEASURES on Thursdays.  (don't worry about the other days you will ind out soon enough)...

So here's mine for today... then you can share yours.

My simple pleasure is getting the LAST PARKING SPOT in lot 2 at work.    
there will be parking in other lots but LOT 2 is everyone's favorite and it's hard to get a spot in there.  It's almost like a game for me.

So on this beautiful summer Thursday morning, what's your simple pleasure.

My simple pleasure for today is then when I get home today after a long day at work, that the dishes are loaded in the dishwasher...lol

**I have three kids that just sit at home all day, living life, eating me out of house and home and watching t.v. and doing absolutely nothing.  After a 9 hour work day, I come home to what looks like a tornado has ran thru my house.....Urghhhhhhhhhhhhh

Good Morning Terri I hear you!  just last night I got home from work and I yelled for my very abled bodied 17 year old and told her  "when I get home from work I do not want a dirty kitchen"  and she cleaned it up.

I like your simple pleasure.

I hear ya!  I want a clean kitchen because after a long day at work, I still have to cook dinner for the kids and it just gets worse...lol

Todays simple pleasure is my RNY and what a difference 4 months can make.

Before surgery I NEVER wanted to come home and cook - now it is hubby who wants to go out to eat on our way home from work!  We do eat at home a whole lot more, but now I am not the one who never wants to eat at home...

what a nice pleasure Angie!   I'm hoping that happens for us too!

My simple pleasure? How about not strangling my younger sister because she got pissy at me for donating $100 to my friend's 3 day cancer walk? MY money and she gets upset that I didn't donate it to some group she's a member of.

Why do I want children? I am living through their teenage years already!!!

Today my simple pleasures are:
Getting on the scale and seeing -2lb
Getting a facial today, using part of a gift certificate from my kids
Looking forward to watching SO U THINK U CAN DANCE, I love to watch dancing, singing, any live theater or musical!
I am grateful for the Dr in NY who treated my sister and niece for the swine flu, and today they are feeling so much better:)

I am glad to hear the family is reovering from swine flu  (H1N1)  how scary that must have been.
