I'm so dizzy... my head is spinning

Hi Ren,

I am sorry you are going through this.  It is very scary I have went through the same thing.  After all test imagineable they concluded that I had a inner ear viral infection too.  To tell you the truth I didn't believe them but magically after 1 week after being diagnoised it went away.

One thing for sure you should ask your doctor if your potassium level is good. Sometimes GB patients suffer from low potassium.   I am sure they checked it but call your doctor and double check it.

When I went to the hospital 2 weeks ago with the issue I had they found my potassium was a little and I had to get 3 bags of IV potassium before they did my surgery.  I was suffereing from some vertigo the week prior but had no idea why.

I hope you get to feeling better soon.  Remeber to get up slowly and if you are going to bend over bend your knees first.

Take care and big hugs to you.  I will definitely keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.

Thanks for that information Cira. I'll definitely make sure that my potassium was checked! And yes, it is very scary. I look forward to this easing up. I certainly can't live on valium to make the dizzies go away!

Thanks for the support and the prayers,
Ren

HOLY SH*T REN!  I'm sorry you are having to deal with this.  Is there any way you can get in to see the ENT sooner?  The dizziness for sure sounds like inner ear, but the numbness and slurring is some really scary stuff!  I had an inner ear infection (viral) when I was pg with Kylie and it was miserable.  The room constantly was spinning and there were a few days of barfing from the dizziness.  Unfortunately only time will clear it up UGH!  I hope you get better QUICKLY!

Because I'm not a current patient they cannot get me in any sooner and the only other option is the ER. Not something I'm even remotely interested in.  Thanks for the thoughts!

BTW.... Did I see you at DoubleT on Ebenzer Sunday morning?  If so, you walked past my table after exiting the restroom with a little lady (Kylie I presume),... but I didn't look up in time to be sure it was you.  My bad?

Warm regards,
Ren

The ER didn't help me much at all when I had my inner ear infection, they ended up referring me to a doc who had the proper equipment for seeing in there!  I hope you are starting to feel better!

Double T on Ebenezer, yep!  We WERE there on Sunday morning!!!  I didn't see you, but I'll be on the lookout from now on!  We are there generally for breakfast on the weekend one of the two days.  Kylie loves their pancakes and we're one of the regulars; Kylie's picture is one of the ones hung at the register area LOL.

Hey you!  I was wondering where you'd been this week!  So sorry you are gong through this.  I've had dizzy spells on and off since surgery, many times when I stand up, for me it seems to indicate that I haven't had enough fluids and/or protein.

I hope they are able to figure out what it is for sure and that it goes away quickly!

Thinkin' about ya!

Thanks Heather. I hope it does too.  I didn't know you were dealing with dizzy issues too. I thought it was only a blonde thing

I know that they did check my electrolytes and protein levels and they were fine.

This is probably just an ear infuction.  That's my hopes anyway... or at least something that is resolved quickly!

L@@king 4wood 2 c'ing you sumtime soon.

OMG REN! I have been away and just saw this. I am so sorry to hear everything you are going through. I hope it does turn out to be the ear infectin since that is more easily resolved. Still, i think you are doing the right thing in making sure and getting thoroughly checked out.

Wishing you all the best!

Debbie
