OK Its been a while since I posted any thing, been really busy.  I had a Holy Sh&T moment that I thought was real but found out it wasn't
I got on the scale and it read 248 lbs.  I yelled Holy Sh&t so loud my bf came running and thought that something was wrong.  But silly me ........ I had the scale on the bathroom rug so that skewed the reading.. Our scale is digital and has a memory.   After I placed it on the hard floor it read like it always does. 269 lbs and BMI 41.9.
even though the scale read the same on the hard floor, I had to laugh, and say I can't wait until that is true.

I am still waiting for response from the insurance company.  Dr's office says they only do things in 30 increments and my surgery was scheduled at least 90 days in advance.    I am still gathering tools for my appeal and working with the California Commission on Insurance for the exclusion.

I will keep things update as to the progress.

Right now I am still wrestling with ****tails of med for various co morbidity's.  Dr changed my Bp meds and told me to monitor bp at home.  This morning it was 159/83 which is high.  Normal and desirable for me is 110/70.  Oh well no wonder i woke up with a headache.

Have a happy Thursday.  I am still lumpy, lol.
have an ehh and what eva!! attitude and its Thursday.

Hi stranga!

LTNT.  Sorry for your almost-wow moment!  Hopefully it will become reality soon. Keep up the fight and you will see your scale move. I can't imagine though the frustration of fighting your insurance company.  If you want to talk, feel free to call me.

We should get together soon.

~hugs~

my scale is stupid too.  it's always in the same spot but i never can get the same measurement.  I'm thinking of saving for a reguar doctors scale...

Hope your insurance woes work out.

Nessa :

I understand about stupid scales.  I am a research fanatic.  I of course do not expect to have an easy time. How ever, If I can find a loop hole I am going to use it.  I am even looking in to the legalality of being denied coverage for a medically necessity.  If they deny medically necessary treatment they sentencing me to death
and as far as I know I have commited no crime
that carries the death sentence.  May be an extreem comparison but we will see.

Hugs

Cira:

thanks for the well wishes.  I see your in Charles Town WVA.  My mother was born and raised in WVA, point pleasant and charleston.  I hope I do get approved without too much of a fight.

I just got a call from the drs office with a schedule for pre op work ups for the next two months.

I am working with the California Commission on Insurance to see if I can get an Independent Medical review.   I was told that I should go ahead mail them everything even if I have not gotten the letter of denial yet.  This way they can begin working on the case.  I just need to gather a bit more information before I mail it off.

I will keep every one posted.

Hugs from baltimore

Lori,

I lived in Maryland for 10 years and found a nice house out here in Charles Town not too far from Charles Town races & Slots last year in June.   Charleston is like 5 1/2 hours away from here and very country. I am a city girl and I sometimes wonder how did I let my husband convince me to move out here.  LOL  But I do love it in this area.  I just have all my friends in NY & MD.. Makes me sad sometimes.

I am glad that you are on top of things!!

Good luck and I can't wait to read your updates!

Hugs,
