OMG I just died and went to Heaven!!!
Tia,
Thank you SO much, I hadn't been in at 7-11 in a very long time, I'd forgotten how yummy slurpees are, and the fact that I could have a frozen treat and not have to play piggy with something fattening like ice cream just made me feel soooooo good!!
I just had a Crystal Light Slurpee that was the bomb!!!!! YUMMO!

Yup! But this is not going to be something on a regular basis... So I am not worried about it. As a matter of fact I rather have this than to eat 2 belgium waffles for breakfast.. lol
You know one thing that I have learned in this journey is that life after surgery it doesn't mean you can not enjoy a little treat here and there. I rather have that then eat a scoop of regular ice cream I don't do well with the sugar alcohols in s/f ice cream so this was really good for me...
Now this is not an adverstisement for everyone else to go have one on a regular basis. Everyone here are adults and they can make their choices on what is right for them and what is not.
I did see the nutritional info but remember her recommendation is to drink a diet pepsi instead and as per my surgeon we were to quit drinking soda since preop.... So her advise was not all that great.

Yep, like Angie so wisely pointed out, these should ONLY be used as the occasional treat. For me personally, if it comes down to a brownie versus a slurpee, brownies being a trigger food for me, a s/f Slurpee is the way to go.
Of course, post-op, your surgeon may not want you using straws for a while, if ever, so there's that to consider, too. Keep in mind that every surgeon is different, so the rules vary, too.
Hugs,
Tia

make sure to read my reply to Angie... I am not advertising for anyone to have one on a regular basis. I am also 28 months post op so it is a lot different for me.
