I almost stopped for one of these on my way to the bank today... Good thing I decided to wait after work because knowing it has over 200 calories has totally changed my mind.

And to think, before surgery I would have went with a regular one - almost a days calories for me now...  and even 200 is more than I allow at a meal (5 meals a day...)

ugh!

Wow Angie so you are saying that at this early out from having GBS you can drink a 41 oz drink?  I bought the 16 oz which was only 80 calories for me.  I am 28 months out and I am just drinking about 40 oz  within an hour or so.  I remember when I was just 4 months out I barely got 12 oz in an hour and a half.

Yes 200 calories is alot but that is for the biggest cup. When I treat myself with a little something it is literally little.   That's one thing that has changed for me greatly after having my RNY.

I am who I am and accept my feelings wholeheartedly.
Those that mind don't matter, and those that matter don't mind.

I have no idea what I will be able to do after recovery from surgery.  I do know that when I have to count calories if I have something that I think is 15 or 20 calories and it's 80 I'm underestimating what I"m eating.

I also know the slippery slope that is treating.

Umm I drank for quite some time but I did drink two since surgery and one was a 40oz... the other was a medium.  I actually added ice to make it colder once it melted...

This morning I know I drank about 32oz in less than 2 hours because I filled my bottle when we left home for the gym and again when we left the gym...

My liquid intake i another thing that has changed since surgery - I can't do it as fast... I can remember just a few months ago getting a lemonade at McD on the way to work and finishing before I got there - 10 minutes tops!  Now it takesHOURS to get it down...

I have a hard time using calories if I am not getting protein... About the liquid I drink with calories is milk.

Personally what I think royally sucks about these is that if they say crystal light on them, they should be sugar free, IMO.

well technically they are sugar free AFAIK.  Sucralose is made from sugar (like Splenda) and therefore although one of those little packets has NO calories, a CUP of sucraose is about 90 calories.
